Anyone make wine?

Thread Starter
we have a ton of blackberries and I was thinking of trying to make some blackberry wine! Anyone make their own wine?

I don't but I do remember an article on non-grape winemaking in Backwoods Home Magazine. Some of their content is available free online, some isn't.
Here's their site:

It's a good magazine, except for the occasional low-fat recipe.

I looked into it but found out that you need, like, 30 gallons of blackberries. But then I got the idea for making honey mead... I think there's a recipe in Full Moon Feast.

DH and I have made several types of non-grape fruit wine in the past. Blackberry wine sounds great! Do you have a recipe?

My DH makes some fruit wines-- he's tried strawberry and blueberry-- and also dandelion wine. The dandelion and strawberry were a great success but the blueberry didn't come out so well, and we're still trying to figure out why. Our recipes come from this book:

in a much earlier edition, that my dad had in the early 80s when I was a kid. It got passed down to me.
