What time does your toddler go to bed? I assumed I had the only night owl, but after reading another thread I'm starting to think night owl toddlers are more common than I thought.

DD usually asks to go to bed right around 9pm. It doesn't seem very late to me, though, because we do sleep in late in the mornings and after I put her to bed, I stay awake for about three hours or so so I can work.

We've just managed to turn a 6pm (sharp!) bed time into a 6:30 or 7 pm bedtime. DS will take himself up the stairs if we lose track of time and don't take him up on time, or he'll lie sadly on the cold kitchen floor saying "do do, do do." It's wonderful having a babe who goes to bed so easily and I do like having the evening time to myself but sometimes it gets boring! DH and I don't know what to do with ourselves after 7 pm!

Both our kids chose their own bed time. When DS was young (until age 3) he naturally went to bed between 7-730. He got super cranky if ge was kept up later. Same for my DD, although she goes to bed between 730-745. DS is 4.5 and he likes to stay up later now.

ds is a night owl. It isn't as bad now that it's summer and there are so many fun things to do during the day, but he's gone through phases where he was downright nocturnal, taking a nice nap around 10 or 11, waking up in a few hours, and not winding down for the "night" until his big brother's alarm went off to wake him up for school.

It's annoying, but normal.

My 22 month old is usually asleep by 6:30 or 7. My 4 year old goes to bed shortly after.

Not sure if he is a toddler anymore, but my 3 yo goes to bed between 10 pm and midnight. I voted 11 pm- 12 am b/c that has been his schedule for the last couple weeks while we were traveling. It was nice not to have to be back at the hotel by 7 pm to get kids to sleep.

Even as a toddler, he would generally sleep for 12 hours at night - from about 10 pm to 10 am.

Depends on if she's had a nap or not. If not, somewhere between 8:30-9:30, if she has, then somewhere between 9:30 and 11.

My 2 yr old goes to bed between 7-9, depending on how late of a nap he took.
my 3 yr old goes to bed between 730-9, depending on if he napped/took a long nap.

Right now both kids (DS-4 years, DD-21 months) go to bed between 8 and 9. Over the years it seems that DS always goes to bed later in the summer. It's light later and DH and I have a hard time settling them down in "broad delight". I suspect that as we get into Sept/Oct, bedtime will be closer to 8pm sharp again.

My DS goes to bed around 9:30-10pm right now, but I think it's a summer thing. Bedtime was earlier in the spring. He seems to need at least an hour after the sun goes down.

Weeknights or non-nap days usually end in a meltdown if not able to be in bed by 7:30 or 8...sometimes sooner if it was a hard day. We get up by 6 or 7 on weekdays, but sleep a little longer on the weekends (8 or 9).

DD goes to bed the same time that we do, sometime between 11pm and midnight. It's always been easiest that way since we cosleep. She wakes up between 9 and 10am most mornings, sometimes a little later.
