Welcome to August, everyone! I know this will be a very fertile month for all of us here.

Waiting4SJ, I'm anticipating adding you as the first one on our August BFP list.

heathenmom, to you on the broken car.

Hi! I guess I would like to join this thread this month. This is our first cycle TTC (or at least not avoiding) #2. We have a 3-year old son. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and seeing some BFPs this month!

So you can put BarefootScientist - trying for #2, cycle #1

Thanks!

Yay for August!

We're back at it this month and feeling really positive and not stressed at all, actually.

Weekend Check-In
Name: BarefootinBrooklyn
Date: 8-1-10
Where are you in your cycle: CD 11
Symptoms if they apply: none
When are you thinking of testing: My plan this month is to wait until I actually miss a period, imagine that! We'll see how that idea pans out.
Thoughts: I'm in no rush. I'm in no rush. I'm in no rush...
Appointments: None yet. Planning to call midwife for well woman visit.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Taking a hormonal balance tincture this month. Telling myself things will happen when they're meant to.
Do you have any stress triggers: The future in general. Husband's new job...in another state. New playschool for my daughter. Keeping house. Work. Growing to-do lists.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Decluttering.
Partners feelings if applicable: Openness...readiness..."Let's do this thing!"
Plans for this weekend: Cleaning up, buying a car, catching up on work after a couple weeks of vacation.

Good luck this month, mamas & mamas in waiting!

BarefootinBrooklyn, for the plan to wait to test. I don't test either, but that's because I'm cheap. Though I'm so tempted to buy some inexpensive HPT strips with the OPKs I want to order online.

Welcome, BarefootScientist! I've added you. Good luck!

Which reminds me, if anyone wants their bio updated, let me know. I know a lot of you have a cycle # in there, and seeing that I don't remember updating any of those last month when I took the thread, they could be way off. If you don't care that your cycle # is wrong, then feel free to ignore this announcement.

Sending non-stress vibes out there to everyone! And of course a bit of , as we could all use it. This month, let's create a BFP explosion!

I'd like to join, please! I'm 27 and we're TTC #1.

Weekend Check-In
Name: Erin
Date: August 1
Where are you in your cycle: CD15; 1 DPO
Symptoms if they apply: Had some ovulatory pain yesterday, and my chart seems to confirm that yesterday was the day I O'ed.
When are you thinking of testing: Only if AF doesn't come before CD31 (my usual cycle is 30 days).
Thoughts: My husband and I just started trying this week, and we're both excited and nervous. Trying not to to let our excitement get too great, but after wanting and waiting to TTC for so long, it's hard to stop ourselves from thinking "what if we were pregnant," and all the other subsequent scenarios.
Appointments: None.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: None.
Do you have any stress triggers: Work! I'm a freelancer, so there are down days, but on the days with where I get a lot of work, it's A LOT.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: I bought a bunch of herbal teas, and I'm going to make a daily ritual of sitting down every afternoon to a steaming mug and a good book. We're also going on vacation!
Partners feelings if applicable: He's just as nervous as I am. I've been really open with him regarding charting and my cycle, and I think he's become a little obsessed with it, too. He thinks FF is really fun, and I know he dreamed about babies last night. That's a big step for him, so it makes me happy, but I also don't want him to get too excited because he has a tendency to get down easily (for example, if we were to TTC for a few months with no luck).
Plans for this weekend: We're going to Antigua, Guatemala for a week!

gringuitica, welcome and good luck! I've added you.

Thanks! I just realized that we'll be on vacation from 7 DPO to 14 DPO (CD 30), so as long as I don't take any pregnancy tests along, there's no way I'll be able to obsess. Although now I think I'm obsessing about not obsessing.
I will off line for pretty much the next month while we move. But I'm hoping you will all be gone by the time I get back!

. .
hi good luck everyone I'm still trying not to obsess as I wait and wait and wait for AF
post #11 of 137
What the heck is up?!?! BFN yesturday (not morning). Today is CD40. Assuming my cycle was "normal" this month, 17-19 DPO. I don't have cramps (usually start 24-12 hrs before AF). I have an extreme dislike for anything garlic, & fried chicken... But BFN... So, no clue. I'm absolutely stumped. I have one more HPT, & I'll POAS again tomorrow morning if I don't get AF. Maybe I had an off cycle? I've only been keeping track of my cycle for three months now, so maybe I'm just having a long cycle? Any advice/help/encouragement would be great...
waiting do you have a chart?
waiting - i'm having an abnormally long cycle too... I'm about 10 days long and have a graveyard of BFN's to show. I'm just trying not to stress and relax... I am waiting for AF so I can start doing all the tracking with my next cycle (first time ttc).

Hope you're comfortable... maybe it's a good sign! Who knows.

Waiting4SJ, ovulation day can vary a lot, so maybe this is just a late month. On my first cycle charting this time around, I Oed on CD18. The second cycle was on CD24, and last cycle on CD25.

Do you temp, track CM, do OPKs, or anything else?

I'm sorry I don't really have a chart. I can't temp because we live in a house with no AC or heat, and I don't ever wake up at the same time.

My longest cycle so far has been 37 days, but I have another BFN, so maybe my cycles are just getting progressively longer. Or maybe my cycle's just outta wack from being sick. CD 41.

I do normally track CM, so the last two months EWCM has been about CD20-25, but this month I didn't even track CM because I was sick..

TTC for the first time too! Good luck!

Thanks everyone. I think a BFP would have been here by this point.. So just waiting on AF... Trying to stay stress-free..

You guys, seriously, I'm obsessing. And we weren't even really trying this cycle! We had planned to start in August, but since I was set to O right around July 30, we decided to go for it. While I really doubt we would have caught it at the last minute, I can't help but overanalyze everything now. My temps are a little higher than normal; I had a little bit of post-O cramping; my body aches; I had heartburn today; etc. I'm sure I probably feel this every month, but only now am I taking note. (I'm only 3 DPO, so it's all just wishful thinking.) I keep popping over to FF to ogle my chart several times a day, and I'm driving myself crazy. I can't wait to go on vacation this weekend, as I hope that'll help distract me. But right now I'm just thinking if we don't get pregnant this cycle, I'm going to obsess every month until we do, and that's just not fun. It was almost better when we were waiting to TTC.

Edited to add: I'm feeling better this evening! I think I'm just getting sick, as my muscles and back really hurt and I feel cranky. Definitely too early to be pregnancy signs, so I'm chalking it up to work stress and a cold.
Waiting, if you were sick, that could certainly have delayed O. Don't give up!

Oh, and please ignore me if this doesn't apply because I don't want to come across as nagging, but have you tried temping to see if the lack of heat/AC and the different waking times affects it or not? You may still be able to tell a pattern.

That's my current train of thought. We'll see. :Z

Not nagging at all, I've thought about it a lot. This is only my 3 cycle TTC, so I'm still adjusting. I'm really wanting to do this as "naturally" as possible, & I wasn't sure how much effort I wanted to put into charting. DH is leaving for bootcamp in 2 weeks, & when he comes back we'll be moved, so I'll try tempting then.
