No Stressors/No Obsessors: August 2010 - Page 5

Sweet.Bee you make me smile
As for the elliptical, I love it. It's in the living room planted in front of the tv, and I crawl out of bed, put on some clothes, turn on something like Bridezillas (it has to be interesting enough to pay attn to but not enough that I don't want to stop watching) and then stride away. The thing is huge but we love it.
Good luck to you two.

heathenmom, of course you're not weird. Maybe I am though? Regardless, testing buddies are awesome.

Thanks.

LivingSky,

baylady02, welcome and good luck to you!

Huh. I'm having some cramping, and the tiniest tinge of blood right at my cervix - red. This would be my one of my shortest luteal phases ever, if I start af in the next day or so, but af usually starts with brown blood, not red. I didn't have implantation spotting with either of my other 2 pregnancies, so I'm not really expecting it for future ones either ...

Heathenmom, how many dpo are you?! FX
9dpo today. Still cramping and feeling bleh. A tiny bit more spotting -- and when I say spotting, I'm not even sure that's the right word. It's not showing on my undies, or even on the tp when I wipe. I just see it when I check my cp/cm. My temp went up this morning, and the last 2 days I took temps 45 minutes and 15 minutes earlier than normal, if that means anything. Here's my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/hrefna#share

I don't usually cramp until I'm actually bleeding, so this is all decidedly NOT normal for me. Maybe I'll pick that test up today after all ....

Ooooh, heathenmom,
OK, not sure if y'all are going to let me keep posting in the "No Obsessors" club anymore. I was just rereading the section on FF about recording cm, and they say to record spotting "when you have any pink or dark red/brown spots that leave a small mark on your underwear or pantyliner or that you only see when you wipe." Sooooo ... is this spotting or not?! According to the experts, no? Aaaarrrgh!

Sorry, y'all ... I HATE this part of ttc.
I'd definitely record that on your chart; it sounds like it could be implantation spotting. for you, heathenmom!

Weekend Check-In
Name: Erin
Date: August 20
Where are you in your cycle: CD8
Symptoms if they apply: Nope
When are you thinking of testing: I'll do OPKs starting on Day 12
Thoughts: This is our first official cycle TTC. (We kind of winged it last cycle, and I don't think we hit O.)
Appointments: None.
Any new regimens, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Drinking cranberry juice and grapefruit juice each once per day. Taking a prenatal.
Do you have any stress triggers: Work, although that has been pretty low-key this month, so I'm relatively stress free.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: DH and I snuggle on the couch every night to watch our favorite TV series (we have it on DVD). I also have a bunch of really delicious herbal teas that I'm drinking at least once daily -- each time is a ritual. It's fun.
Partner's feelings if applicable: He's pretty relaxed, although I think that's because he doesn't let himself think about it very much.
Plans for this weekend: We're going to visit my in-laws tonight & tomorrow, and then I hope to have a relaxing Sunday.

I believe it still counts as spotting even when you only see it in with your CF. For example, near ovulation when you get blood tinged CF, you count that as spotting with your fertile CF.

Sounds like a good sign cycle buddy!

Weekend Check-In

Name: Sweet.Bee
Date: 20 August 2010
Where are you in your cycle: CD28, 9DPO
Symptoms if they apply: Tired. Not liking food right now. "Uterusy".
When are you thinking of testing: Wednesday (14DPO)
Thoughts: Said this before, but I've decided I am pregnant.
Appointments: Tee-hehehehe! Well, once I get a + HPT...
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: I should find some Omega again, even though the pills are huge and gross.
Do you have any stress triggers: I'm very relaxed right now, as long as bleeding, spotting, and temp drops stay away.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Determination.
Partners feelings if applicable: Relaxed.
Plans for this weekend: Ummmm. Not sure yet.

***
heathenmom, I would call it spotting, but what matters is that you're consistent in your own charts.

gringuitica, sending you O vibes!

Name: BarefootScientist
Date: 8/20
Where are you in your cycle: 9 dpo
Symptoms if they apply: Starting to get breakouts, usually an AF sign. Boobs no longer tender, which probably means nothing either way. Otherwise normal.
When are you thinking of testing: Psssshhhhh. I've already been testing. I know, that's not appropriate to talk about on this thread. I have an experiment for the ladies on the One thread. That's my excuse, LOL.
Thoughts: I don't think I'm pregnant this cycle, just not feeling it. Of course there have been several cycles where I have "felt it" and have NOT been pregnant, and when I WAS pregnant I didn't even suspect until 12 dpo so...yeah. Could be wrong.
Appointments: None.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: Other than freezing my pee, none.
Do you have any stress triggers: Um...no, I'm doing all right. I need to get off the computer though...
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: My kid.
Partners feelings if applicable: He keeps asking when we'll know. I told him we can trust a negative test by Sunday.
Plans for this weekend: Seeing a movie on Saturday night with a friend. Searching for a church. Testing.

Weekend Check-In

Name: heathenmom
Date: 8/20/10
Where are you in your cycle: CD29, 9DPO
Symptoms if they apply: cramping, very very light spotting
When are you thinking of testing: ha! haha! I kinda freaked out this morning and went out before lunch to buy tests. Got this cycle's first bfn about 10 minutes ago.
Thoughts: I'm feelin' it this time. Which means I'm most definitely NOT pregnant.
Appointments: If I DO get a bfp this cycle, I'll move my scheduled appt. from October to ... asap.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: I finally started taking my prenatals again yesterday. They're enormous and yucky.
Do you have any stress triggers: I've decided that life is my stress trigger. LOL
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Busy getting dd#1 settled into first grade and preparing for her birthday tomorrow.
Partners feelings if applicable: He's good.
Plans for this weekend: Bowling for dd's birthday tomorrow morning, then lunch/cake/ice cream/presents at home with extended family afterwards. An old friend is in town with her family this weekend and they're coming for dinner Sunday. That should be enough to keep me from obsessing too much over what's happening with my reproductive system. Yeah, right.

Or only 10 days until a positive pregnancy test for you.

BarefootScientist & heathenmom, cycle buddies, I'm going to live out all my testing urges through you two. I can't afford to test yet because HPTs are too expensive here.

Oh, I have a new (TMI) symptom. More creamy CM than usual. Enough that it's on my panties. It would be gross if I weren't so excited at the prospect of pregnancy.

Weekend Check-In
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Name: LivingSky
Date: 8/21/10
Where are you in your cycle: CD3
When are you thinking of testing: Not for a while! LOL
Thoughts: I'm excited about this cycle because it's the first time I feel like we're taking steps to actively try (charting, etc)
Appointments: None for me, but DH is making his SA appt on Monday
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: This cycle I'm going to take soy isoflavones day 3-7. I also take Vit D, Omega 3, and a preconception multivitamin. I'm going to try to remember to drink my FertiliTea at least once daily as well.
Do you have any stress triggers: Right now, it's the farm work! Plus a few people in our life who are being really problematic.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: My parents are coming to visit, arriving today. Just knowing they'll be here in another 10 hours or so is making my stress level drop drastically. They'll be here for at least a week, so that should help out keeping my stress down for that time.
Partners feelings if applicable: He's a bit concerned about his SA appointment (he's always been a bit concerned that he may have a fertility problem, for no concrete reason). So I suggested he get tested just to lay his fears to rest - or if there's an issue, so we can deal with it.
Plans for this weekend: My parents are coming! We have a ton of farm work to do - working horses, building fences, cutting hay and trying to get a chicken coop ready for winter. That should keep me busy and my mind off stressing about TTC

Elonwy

Symptoms if they apply: nada
When are you thinking of testing: I just hope to even be able to get that far in one cycle
Thoughts: I'm sleepy, but excited about actually TTC
Appointments: Going to discuss the ramifications of TTC with my allergist on Monday, as I get regular allergy shots.
Any new regimes, ie herbs, medications, mantras etc: I will not get sick again... I will not get sick again...
Do you have any stress triggers: Work. I really hate my job.
What is working to help you be stress-free this cycle: Oddly enough.. school. Though school adds it's own stress, mostly cause I don't get enough sleep while I'm going.
Partners feelings if applicable: Excited to TTC. He's super cute, and trying to pick up the terminology from here.
Plans for this weekend: Class today, then a Bachata class tonight if I feel up to it. Homework on Sunday. Definitely a nap or two.

PLEASE MOVE ME TO THE "WAITING TO TRY AGAIN".

Name: Waiting4SJ
Date: 8/21/10
Where are you in your cycle: CD 5
Symptoms if they apply: AF winding down...
Thoughts: Started AF FINALLY, ironically the same day as my last update. Sad to have to wait to try again... I'll try to come back periodically and check up on everyone, but since DH won't be back till late Dec, I don't really have a reason to update every week. Good luck to everyone!!!
