Art & Spelling for 1st grade classical education

Are there free resources online for such things? Or maybe an outline of what a first grader should experience/learn with each so I could make my own?

Have you read any classical education books like WTM? That would give you some ideas to start! Most of the classical education books have different recommendations though, so really I think there is a lot of freedom to choose what might work best for you.

I consider ourselves mostly classical education homeschoolers, but I am just following our own paths into certain subjects like art and spelling. A popular spelling program is All-About-Spelling. Popular art programs are Artistic Pursuits, making your own, and so on.
