Yea Tropacana and Babygrey I am super excited for you and a little jealous

I am now in my own 2WW about 3 DPO. Our timing was pretty good this time around so I am, as I'm sure you are all, hoping for a BFP this month

Recently my DD has been very interested in babies. My friend and daycare provider has been taking DD with her to visit her nephew (newborn) and now DD has been carrying around dolls, stuffed bears, stuffed dogs and patting them on their backs. It is very cute

Sticky thoughts to those of you with BFP and some magic fairy dust for those of us waiting to ovulate and receive BFPs!

Congratulations Tropacana and Babygrey!

Forgot to say earlier, congratulations for the BFPs.

Babygrey: Did you add the ovulation date for Day 18 or did FF? If I had to pick a day, I would probably go with Day 18 as well, considering all the signs. But I see evidence for Day 18, 19 or 20. This is one of those months where a + OPK would have been helpful. But I think, given all signs, I would probably pick CD 18. That EWCM the day after would bug me and reduce my confidence, though.

Babygrey: Thanks for the recap. I find it encouraging that you didn't actually take the progesterone this month. My gyn that I had been going to wouldn't give me anything. I need to find a new dr anyway though bc we switched insurance. I'm due for an annual soon so hopefully I will pick a dr that will be more open to prescribing it!

AFM: Cycle day 11. Still waiting to O! OPK still neg.

congrats to tropacana and baby grey! and babygrey, thanks for the words of encouragement about nursing/conception. it is indeed confusing to be trying to monitor so many different body signals while nursing and ttc at the same time.
ahhh i am so much more hopeful this month than last month but for no real reason. my temp went up today so hope that it is up tomorrow and that i finally o'd. (finally for me, that is, i used to have a 13-14 day pre-o but since nursing it has been more like 18-19. nothing like some ladies' super long cycles.) i am not fond of waiting. (who is?)

Congrats Tropacana and Babygrey!!! I was following your exciting experience from your thermal shift post, Babygrey, and was so happy to read the update!! Hoping for sticky beans for both of you.

I started on 400 mg of Prometrium at 4DPO. I had a big temp dip this a.m. (5DPO), and I'm hoping it doesn't mean AF is on her way already (trying not to torture myself with thoughts of implantation dip either). I also had a very strange several hours of cramps earlier this morning too.

Help!!

Hello ladies,I would love to join you and need some ADVICE!

I have a 2.5 year old son who is still nursing. Was just one time per day... but I am a teacher and am home with him for the summer. This last month, we took a family vacation, and had another week home with him all day (usually he attends daycare partime three days a week). When he is home with me, I usually nurse at nap and at bedtime, so twice my usual amount. So, for two of the last three weeks I have nursed double my usual. Now, today, no period (it was due). I am not pregnant (have poas several times, all negative). I got my periods back at 18 months, so almost a year ago. For the last 8 months they have been very regular at 26 days. I am fairly sure I did not ovulate this month... didn't notice much cm and never got a positive opk (though I rarely get a definitive one).
I am fairly sure I have wacked my cycles completely. Someone help me... what can I do to get my prolactin levels down for next month (i am ONLY nursing a few times a week as of now... this is what I did during the school year... I would only nurse at night for comfort, probably 5x a week and had even skipped several days at a time due to being out of town). If AF doesn't show, how can I get her to? I haven't skipped a period once since AF returned, but now I am scared that this sudden nursing increase has made her go away I am a teacher, and really need to conceive within the next two cycles, or i'll have to wait another year. I hadn't thought about my fertility beng impacted by bfing since I had my period, but after some research, seems it probably is. please help me!

Kristyn: Welcome! Perhaps you ARE preg and it's just not registering yet? If not, maybe vitex will help regulate things. Also vitamin B6 is supposed to help decrease prolactin levels. A lot of us take it to help extend our luteal phase, but maybe it could also help regulate?

Ugh - got af today. I'm off to camp for the next week - why does af always show up at the most inopportune times?

Vegan: I feel fairly certain I did NOT ovulate and am not pregnant I was using the frer opk kit and didn't get a good line this month, however we bd'ed day 10, 12, 13, 14, 16... (usually I believe I "o" on day 13-14). I noticed what I thought was a pink tint to cm this morning, but alas nothing. I have been very regular at 26 days, but I have also peed on several sticks (frer) and gotten a stark blank bfn... i will take another test tomorrow just to confirm, but i already know the answer
Had sore BBs yesterday and I was positive af would be here today but alas she isn't!
We have been waiting and trying NOT to conceive, until this month, when we knew it would start being okay for my job. And now I think I screwed it all up with way too much nursing!! We have a three to four month window, and since ds came with no problems, I guess I just assumed this one would be fairly easy too!
I did purchase vitex today... what dosage do people have success with? I have read differing opinions... how long do we think until prolactin levels decrease? DH is doing the bedtime routine tonight... as long as I am not there, it's okay, but at nap today we had some major screaming to nurse!

Yay for the BFPs!!!

Okay, I am beginning to feel ready to start to be more proactive in TTC... My 15 month old has dropped about 2 sessions over the last few weeks, no sign of AF. My chart is bonkers, although I can't ever seem to wake up at the same time each morning, so that doesn't help. I can't bring myself to wean her in any way, but we are really ready for another baby...

Who is supplementing with vitex or a B complex? Or is it just B6? I know this probably gets asked every month, but I guess I wasn't ready to really soak it in until now. Anything noticeable change after you started supplementing?

kristyn1024~ I'd wait a few more days and test again with a hpt, i've had months were my son nursed more than usual and it didn't prevent af from showing up.

lifeguard~ on af showing up.

I finally got a appointment set up for the 18th get a referral to a RE, too bad i will have to pay a co pay just to ask for a referral from my primary care dr.

I had a HUGE temperature spike today. I'm trying not to read to much into it, but am hopeful that it is a sign of pregnancy I was excited and wanted to share. I wasn't charting when I conceived DD, so I don't know how my current chart compares to that cycle, I do remember being quite warm though

CrunchyKatie--I was feeling the same way when my DD was 15 months, she is now 18.5 months and I am in my second PP cycle. I was beginning to consider encouraging some weaning, but then AF came and my cycles have been just like they were prior to pregnancy. DD nurses a lot--like 6-8 times or more during the day (usually clustered in the evenings and mornings), 1 time overnight plus some morning nursing prior to getting up, and bedtime nursing. She seems to nurse about as often as she did as an infant, but not for the duration she did. I also felt strongly about child led weaning, but I was considering some mama lead weaning (as I was and am very interested in getting pregnant as soon as we can)--fortunately AF came and I have done nothing as far as weaning. I know that doesn't help bring your cycles back, but should give you hope that they will come back

Just checking in. Congrats to the BFPs!

AFM, I should O any day now. Just keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP this month. I'm getting frustrated, but what can you do? I'm sure you all are too!

Thanks! With my first child AF was back around 10 months, and that was with child led weaning as well. I'm just getting impatient! I actually did go pick up a bottle of vitex today, but I am not sure how much I should start with. I have a feeling things will start to fall back into place within the next few months whether I do anything or not... but it can't hurt, right?

Can you change my details?

I am a couple cycles past "hoping to catch 1st PP egg" lol. I am now on month 5 and just got AF today (blah) so I am in the "waiting to O" category.

This is really weird for me because DD slowed down on nursing early (though is still going at age 2.5) and I had totally normal AF from 4 mo. PP with her and no issues at all getting pregnant on the first try with DS. And now, I mean, month 5?? After my 1st in two months and second in 1 month, this is just weird for me. Nursing is really messing with me. BUT I did have 17 day luteal phase last month so that's good, right?

Hi everyone,

I would like to join this group. I am nursing my 2.5 year old and trying to conceive number 3. I am posting tonight because my Clear Blue Fertility Monitor finally is showing the "peak" reading with the little eggie symbol! Yahoo!

I am a single mother by choice, so I will be inseminating myself with donor semen from Repromed tonight and then again tomorrow night. This is my first cycle trying this, so please send me lots of baby dust!
