Nursing Mamas TTC August - Page 5

Wow, I back off for a bit and so many people I've been here with for ages have BFP's! Congrats!

Nothing much to report here. Another near miss with a just barely negative OPK last week that crushed my spirit. I know I've been saying it for a while, but I am very seriously considering weaning DD so that I can get pregnant again. I have horrible guilt for even thinking about it, but DD has nursed for 2 years, which is a lot more than a lot of kids get. My biggest reservation about it is that she is *so* very attached to it; I worry it would break her heart to lose it.

Oh, I also stopped vitex because it didn't seem to be helping anything and it was making my depression come back.

zwitterion~ on thinking of weaning.

argh. my chart was looking almost triphasic...and then i put in this am's temp (which still falls into a triphasic pattern, but .1 lower than yesterday's). now FF says i only O'd 3 days ago. :x

i'm pretty certain i o'd around day 22 or 23 based on cm, though. i HOPE that's the case and that it's triphasic! (i didn't make cm notes in time to remember exactly which days it was ewcm, unfortunately. darn out of town guests)

sigh. the wait continues...

socali~Hmmmm, that is a bit odd; I had the same type of temp spike last cycle 5 days b4 O. I wasn't sick or anything....maybe its just surges in hormones???

Cindy, Jr'smom, babycakes~ Best wishes for you all in the 2ww

stegenrae~Sorry FF is confusing you...it often changes my O day on me, but unfortunately, its usually right for me anyways. Here's hoping you caught the eggie either way !
no certain if I O'd, but
Can you please move me to the 2ww?
Can I join? DS is 2.3, and nurses like crazy. We'll be TTC #2 at the end of the month! We're going for a girl this time.

I've tossed around the same idea, zwitterion. DS nurses probably 5-6 times a day, and is very attached to it. But I worry about how it might be affecting my cycles. Several cycles in a row, I had very obvious fertile cm, but the last two cycles I haven't had any ewcm. I should temp to confirm whether or not I ovulate, but I'm not in the habit of it, and usually forget...

This is where I belong! We're casually TTC. My basal thermometer is in the mail, so I'm monitoring CM and on day 9 of my cycle. Please put me in at waiting to O.

Welcome mom2soren and becca!

PLease move me to the 2 week wait! FF gave me crosshairs this morning so I guess I am 3 dpo. I am not sure that I didn't O yesterday though, not 3 days ago. Anyone care to look at my chart and guess? My cervix was still sort of open and soft yesterday, but low. I also thought I felt O pains yesterday. Here is my chart.

The 2nd line on my opk.'s is finely starting to get darker though still negative so sunday's donation was a waste of time though i have had 2 more donation's since so am still in within a chance though am not technically in the 2ww, i guess i jumped the gun a bit but when i got the partial ferning (Sunday) i wrongly thought i was going to o soon and so asked my donor if he could come either monday or tuesday and then again on either thursday or friday but he couldn't because he is on holiday so came sunday instead.

hm, hard to tell yet...isn't that the most useless "help" ever? it could be either way--i definitely see where the confusion would arise. :? i might rely more on the physical signs to break the tie, but hopefully your bases are covered either way.

becca_howell~ Welcome to the group.

beckyand3littlemonsters~ for you this cycle

Vegan Princess~ I'd go with your feelings on your O date, maybe another temp or two and FF will but your O date on the day you think it happened.

Cindy, i think the FF date is good though because looks lke you tend to get the dip before rise for O, and you had the dip 4 days ago. and nice rise today! chart looks good, are you taking the b6 and whatnot for lengthening LP?
Please move me to Waiting to O, as AF arrived today.

Another cycle just means another chance...

First of all, please don't feel guilty. You deserve to be commended for nursing her for two years. It's an accomplishment!

I night-weaned dd (16 months) last month after she got a horrible case of hives and got my first +opk this month. Anyway, she was also very attached to nursing, and while she certainly insists on being nursed during the day, I think she sleeps better without it at night. I felt like every time she used to roll over she would be searching for "booboo", but now she just rolls over and lets out a big snore. Oh and she's started to touch me a lot at night for comfort instead. I've become her teddy bear instead of her midnight snack.

I've finally got a positive opk today so should o tomorrow or the day after
