January 2010 babies - it's been half a year. How are you? - Page 6

I'm here. I definitely am not thinking about another baby right now. I have a hard time with the whole 1st year, not sleeping, etc. and I just can't imagine having 2 little ones.

Emma is doing well. She just got her first two teeth, and pulled up to stand for the first time over this past weekend. She still does not sleep through the night, although she's not been waking as often lately. I love reading everyone's updates, and I can't believe they'll be 1 soon!

Melodie is 10 and a half months already!! She's been furniture walking for about 1 month now and has started walking while pushing her little car or play table around the house. She has 7 theeth and is eating a bit but still prefers nursing. She's not sleeping through the night and I don't see it happening anytime soon. She's always been a crapy sleeper...cat napping throughout the day and waking every 2 hours or so at nightsleepytime.gif.

She's babbling like there's no tomorrow and we can hear her say mama and papa, just not intentionally yet..can't wait for her to actually say it to us!!

Time is going by so fast.....And believe it or not...I might be crazy....but even with the sleep deprivation and all the challenges of motherhood...I want another one and soon..like starting TTC at the beginning of the new yearyikes2.gif

Wow! Good luck TTC. I think having babies close in age is great for them!

Good luck TTC, Memz.  I'd be on that bandwagon in a heartbeat, but my old man is set on stopping at two kids.

I would love to ttc but with our finances right now, it just isn't in the cards.  My bf would have to work with his dad, which would entail him being away for 7+ days at a time.  I like having my bf here for Ethan, and he isn't terribly interested in having another.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around. Life has been absolutely nuts. Holly is 10 months old, crawling like crazy, and saying mama and dada. She's a gem. No teeth and very little hair still!!

We are so, so, 100% done with kids. Our family is perfect as it is and we are ready for whatever is next. I applied for a full-time professorship at the community college in our hometown. I really hope I get the job, and DH could be a SAHD. We have been stuck in a lousy financial position with nowhere to go for far too long!

Great to read about all the babies. Can we share links to pics?

Smokeylo - good luck with the job application! Hope you get it!

We had a really stressful weekend working non stop on a hard deadline without a babysitter (trading off DS and taking turns), but he made up for the stressful weekend by initiating peekaboo with me by covering my face with a sheet of paper and having a great time feeding DH tortilla chips at a mexican restaurant. He is a total joy! He is cutting his first upper teeth and nursing every hour at night. sleepytime.gif can't wait for the deadline to pass, then I will take a day off, ride my horse, go for a walk with DS, and declutter.

Good luck with the job Smokeylo!

Ethan started pat-a-caking (clapping) on his own yesterday - you'd think he'd won a Nobel Prize with how proud of himself he was, lol.  He says a few words - mama, dad, don't touch, kitty (the last 2  are more the sound of the words than the actual words) and nice, which he says when he's pretending to not be ripping fur off if the cats.  Poor kitties, they get no peace.

Here's a link for my facebook album, which hasn't been updated since Halloween.

I had a little cry yesterday because Skylar is almost walking. She isn't my baby anymore! I know, that's silly but I do feel like this year has FLOWN by and sometimes it frightens me how fast things are going!!

We've had some big sleep challenges that haven't really starting improving yet but I'm hoping they do soon. A cold with fever and 2 new molars have made for a very sleepy mama. Luckily Skylar appears to be well rested and is a happy little busy body during the day now :)

DP and I are looking at trying for a 2nd next spring. If I ever get AF back!!! I figure if I jump into having another I won't get used to having sleep and then have to go back to non ;)

Nola, they are very cute! Thank you for sharing.

We're going through a sleep regression of some kind here, non stop nursing at night and waking every hour. It will pass, but I'm tired because of sleep nursing in a twisted position. sleepytime.gif

Next monday Sasha begins his transition into a toddler room at daycare. Where did the year go? Although he still has little hair and only 2 half teeth he looks more like a little boy to me now. He is so buzy and serious when he's trying to TP the bathroom.

Here he is while taking a bath with me, he loves these and tries to climb into the bath at every opportunity. I was having fun with the foam last time.

Nola, they are super cute!

Sasha is so cute too!  Ethan loves bubble baths as well, he's trying to figure out pouring water from a cup.  It seems to be a complex problem.

Malachi is 10 1/2 months now. He is standing on his own and saying lots of words. He is a very active little guy. His 11 year old sister recently moved in with us and he loves interacting with her. He calls her sissy and can even make the "s" sound! He has 5 teeth, but I swear he is cutting more.

I just got my first "positive" home pregnancy test and my EDD is 08/14/2011. I'm happy. joy.gif
