Congratulations, Angela! Very excited for you :) I'm also a little jealous...STILL don't have AF back so not sure when we can start trying again!!

Skylar will be 1 in 2 DAYS!?!?

Here's a photo of her new "toughie face" aka the face she makes when I ask "Skylar, did you put something in your mouth?"

Wow... Congrats for the BFP's!!! We are officially done... after 4 kids, DH got the big V two months ago... Though I will mourn not having another baby, I am at peace with the decision...

and another wow for first birthdays!

Wilhelmina just turned 11 months 3 days ago so we are still a few weeks away... It shows that she is close though, since she has been walking, she has gotten so much more mature. I really don't have a baby anymore....

Hi Everyone, I don't know if you will remember me at all but my baby was due Jan 31st and I am a first time mom so I put myself in the Feb DDC and lurked on your board :)  our Feb thread has all but died and it makes me sad.  I love reading about other babies that are doing the things that my little Malachi is doing and I desperately need the advice of other moms in the same place that I am in.  I am getting super emotional about his upcoming birthday (Jan 18th) and how has it been one year already?  I moved from NC to NY in October and have had a hard time getting out to make friends.  So, I guess I am asking if I can join you? Please please please?  redface.gif

Oh, and congratulations to all of the one year birthday babies and to the mamas with the new BFPs!  My sister and I are 16 months apart and it is awesome.  I think it can be hard on the mama sometimes but it is such a beautiful gift to give your children. Hope to be able to graft myself into this group and sorry if it seems a little stalkerish since I know you all so well but you don't know me.

Maybe to lessen the weirdness...

My name is Melinie, my DS's name is Malachi.  He was born at home after my water broke, 3 hrs of contractions, 5 hours of pushing.  He had his chord wrapped around his neck and body but was totally fine when he came out, my tailbone not so much :)  He is amazing.  DH is a great father.  We cosleep, breastfeed, and semi cloth diaper (moving has made that hard).  I love being a mom and it is also the hardest thing ever in the world.  I stay at home, dad works outside of the home.  I am an introvert and I miss my friends back home.  I have three sisters and one brother and I love having a big family.  I knit and crochet and hope to add sewing to that list once life settles down. I have my master's in nutrition, just finished in december right before DS's birth.  My concentration is in lactation and I am going to eventually become an LC.  Ok, I guess that is enough randomness for right now :)

I am having a hard time coming up with a unique way to celebrate Malachi's birthday. I want to be creative, sentimental, and fun.  A few family members will be able to come up to celebrate so we will have a small party.  What are you doing and are you going to do a cupcake, cake, or something else?

Welcome Melinie and Malachi!
Sorry no good suggestions on the party - we went to the aquarium as just us. So it was pretty low key.
Has anyone started hanging out in toddlers yet? I'm in denial, so I claim I still have a baby (It helps that he has very little hair and only crawls) orngtongue.gif

Welcome, Melinie and Malachi :) We weren't really going to do anything for Skylar's birthday and then a few days before I decided I wanted to have a few close friends/family members over for dinner and some cake. It was very low key and fun! My DP made an amazing gluten free quinoa chocolate cake that was delicious....and nutritious! We ate some dinner, sang happy birthday, had cake, took a ton of photos and just hung out for a couple of hours.

I've started hanging out in toddlers but still read life with a babe too :) I was wondering if we should start a new thread over there!

It's Ethan's birthday today,I can't believe it!  We had a small party with family and a few close friends.  Unfortunately, Ethan has been sick this week, and was pretty tired and cranky all day.  Last week we did a cake smash photo shoot with my dad, it was a pretty fun (and messy!) time.  Ethan had far too much fun playing with the cake, he only took a few bites.

I haven't ventured to toddlerville yet, I'm in denial too!  I want my tiny baby back.
