Can we potty learn now?

DD is 22 mths and we are fairly keen to potty learn in the summer, rather than in the winter which means this month!

We EC-ed for poops very sucessfully from 4-7 mths but then it all went to pot when we went overseas. Her pooping schedule was upside down and she had a 6 week potty pause. We gave up.

She talks about the potty and loves sitting on it and the potty seat on the toilet. If she is bare bottomed she will tell us after she has peed. For some reason, dirty/wet diapers have never worried her in the slightest. Occasionally she will say "change diaper?".

So how should we proceed? Should we do this 3 day potty boot camp thing where she is bare bum the entire time and watch her like a hawk? Help me, I'm clueless but having 2 under 2 in diapers is a real PITA.

DD is just shy of 22 mo and we did the 3 day potty training last month - we said goodbye to diapers and put her right in big girl panties. Did you get to read the ebook? If you pm me your email address, I can send it to you.

It took about 3-4 days and she got it. We took a vacation the week after and she stayed dry, told us when she had to go, is dry over night and thru nap.

This past weekend, she's had a few accidents and we're back to "bootcamp" mindset a little bit. But she's doing great and it really is awesome that she tells us when she has to go and is (mostly) keeping herself dry. I think it's worth it if you have the time and patience to be on top of your LO for the full 3 days. There is no breathing room for those days and you'll be cleaning up a lot of poo and pee -- but again, it's worth it if you can do it!
