Looking for "crunchy" Dr for my kids in Denver area

Hi mamas! My family and I have been in Denver for about 3mths. We are looking for a Dr that accepts Medicaid and won't pressure us with things like vaccinating, proper intact penis care, etc. Any suggestions?

moved to the CO area.

We are new to the area and just joined My Family Doctor Boulder. Dr. Rosenthal is awesome. We don't vax at all anymore and she was completely respectful of our decision. My husband sees Dr. Ellice Goldberg in Arvada. She is also completely supportive of parents choosing to not vax.

Dr. Ellice does not take Medicaid. My Family Doctor Boulder. Dr. Rosenthal does and i looked them up. looks like a neat practice.

Partners in Pediatrics are awesome.  They have two locations in the Denver area.  They respect parent's individual vaccination choices.  They offer homeopathic therapies as well as traditional.  I take my home-birthed non-cirmuncised boy there.  I don't know about medicaid, but I bet they take it.

We use Lowry Pediatrics, specifically Dr. Scott (merenstein) there. I found him accidentally (long story) almost 5 years ago, and I absolutely love him. We have four (INTACT) boys, and although Dr. Scott is Jewish, he has NEVER been anything but 100% supportive of our boys' intactness. He has NEVER attemted to retract, nor "visualize" anything. In fact, I don't think anyone's foreskin has EVER been mentioned, and we've been there 5 years with 4 boys.

He has supported my delayed/selective vaccination scheme, with essentially no push-back. I think that ultimately he has a list that he hopes we do complete, but he will not bully me about ANY vaccines.

He takes medicaid, and told me just yesterday that the majority of his practice IS medicaid.

as a "soft" topic, when we had the twins, and they sent us home from the NICU with orders to "fortify" my breastmilk with NeoSure, I called after two days to tell him that I detested the smell of the Neosure, and was it really necessary?? he said absolutely not. Just breastfeed them on demand, and enjoy them. They are happy, healthy, almost chunky 15 month olds now -- he was right and the NICU discharge was wrong. I say this solely to support the idea that he is absoultely PRO breastfeeding (told me to keep going as long as I wanted ... beyond 15 months with twins!!!) but never passed judgment if it wasn't working ... in a sentence, he was, to me, what a ped should be.

No reservations. love him!

I have a friend who also used lowry peds and LOVED it as well, they also saw Dr. Scott, so not sure if there even are other doctors in the practice or if they are any good or not if there are. lol

In denver we went to pediatrics at cherry creek, we loved dr. staerz, who did tell us at the first appt with Travis that she wished we'd do xyz vaccines, and that was the only mention she made of vaccinations from then on.  She is from germany and therefor is pretty anti routine circucision and is definitely up on proper foreskin care.

We are very happy with Pediatric Pathways and Dr. Huff there.  Their main office is in Centennial (south of Denver) and they see patients I think 2x a week at Mountain Midwifery Center in Englewood.  Very pro-AP and respectful of parenting decsions.

I have to retract my statement about Partners in Pediatrics.  They have a group of Dr.s there and I think it depends on the Dr.  I had a horrible experience with the on-call Dr. the other night, I think it is spelled Nancy Lataikis.  I called with a question about my son's nose being red while he was crying and had a low grade fever.  After curtly saying "I can't hear you" because my baby was crying (really ???!??) she told me he probably has meningitis because he was unvaccinated.  He had a cold and was teething, I knew this and was calling for reassurance.  Needless to say I am on the hunt for a new practice.

I use Denver West Pediatrics in Golden. Dr. Campbell has never been anything but supportive and respectful of my decision to delay vax.
