Hello everyone.
I'm a crunchy mom and I've been a member of several parenting sites before, but frankly... I'm sick of being the 'weird' one on the boards, lol!
I'm very much a natural, attachment parent and it's nice to be somewhere that I fit in.
When I was pregnant with my DS 4 years ago (he's now 3.5), my midwives and a lovely book by Ina May Gaskin opened my eyes to a world in which I fit very well. I learned to be an advocate for my child, and to do the best by him that I am able to do.
So I breastfed him for almost three years, cloth diapered, made his baby food, left his body in its natural state, carried him wherever we went, and let his little brain teach me how to teach him. He is my incredible, vibrant little boy and an amazing little child who I am so thrilled I brought into this world.
Now that I am pregnant with our second child, I find I'd rather be amongst women who know what I am talking about!
So I am here now, and hope to find a new 'home' on the web.
