Look At What I Did To My Dipes

I recently changed my diaper washing routine after chatting with a woman I met at the park. She was telling me she just washes her dipes with her clothes (she has two in diapers) & thought I'd give it a try. I've been so irritated with our laundry room (off of our bedroom) always stinking from the dirty diapers.

Anyway, it's been working out really well until today

I have done the same to DH undies and socks before,

Looks good to me!

I've thrown diapers in with the regular laundry before too, but not on a regular basis.

I Have Done This

I have done this. It will fade.

I wash sheets and towels and underwear with our diapers to top up washer. I'm militant about only running full loads.

Our diapers have been dyed pink, blue and green and always returned to white eventually.

Very pretty

Love your post about tools in the kitchen. We have the same situation and it drives me insane.

Thanks! Seriously, the tools in the kitchen send me over the edge some days!

Disclaimer-I have NO idea the chemicals used in these, nor if they are CD safe, but thought I'd throw it out there and another mama might know.

I've used Rit dye catchers to get out stains from colors bleeding like that in the past with white shirts and towels. You can get them at in the laundry aisle at Target and such. No clue if they are safe to use on CD's though, hoping another mama might know.

I just did the exact same thing to all of my microfiber inserts. They are all pink now, too. I guess I forgot that I had tossed some newly made wool dryer balls into the machine to felt them with whatever I washed next. (I am horrible at forgetting to put the balls in and they sit there for days and days.)

Turns out the next load I washed ended up being diapers. Just an FYI: Orange and Purple wool dryer balls will turn your microfiber inserts pink when washed with your dipes, but will leave your pockets unchanged. Now you know.
