how awesome! i love everything about these videos. i love that both of the mamas say "the baby is drinking milk from my breast" without shame, i love that the second clip included a little girl asking questions and being given honest answers, i love that the mothers were from various ethnicities.

so sad, though...i was born around that time but wasnt nursed. we watched SS all the time. i wonder if my mom ever saw these clips and felt a twinge.

i was also born around that time (and loved ss) and my mom wasn't successful in nursing me. she was caught in all the classic booby traps. she did feel very guilty about it and with my sister she was determined to bf, and did (she let the housework go to heck, didn't care about entertaining folks who came to visit and holed up in the house with a neighbor who helped her work nursing out )
my mom sharing her experience with me and giving me tons of support during the very rough start i had with bf'ing is the reason i'm able to nurse my dd
