Outdoor playgrounds - worth it?

My DS 2nd birthday is this week and we're considering an outdoor playground.
Our yard is pretty small, so I was thinking of a Step2 type set, but my DS seems like he'll outgrow it too quickly. DS is already 3 ft tall.

I thought about an small wooden type set, but those are pretty expensive - My DS loves to be outside and I'm sure he would use it, but it would be quite the task to put up....PLUS...we may be moving in 6 mnths

Tell me about your outdoor playground? What do you have? What do you like/dislike about it?

I have an outdoor wooden playground that came with the house.

We are not living there right now, because of mold problems, but when we were there, DS used it all the time.

It has a slide and 2 swings and looks difficult to take apart or move with. If you are moving in 6 months, it might be best to wait if you are considering a wooden structure.

The Step 2 ones are more easily transported, I think.
