DD has this fine, blond, curly hair that works itself into ringlets all on its own. The problem is that it takes about twelve hours after I brush it to do that, meaning that it is perfectly adorable every night as she goes to bed, and every morning just before I brush it...but it's a big frizzy mess every day, because I brush out her curls every morning. I'm clearly doing something wrong.
The other day I didn't brush it at all and everywhere I went people were complimenting her.
The obvious solution would be to brush it at night, but it's hard to convince her to let me brush it at all, and usually the only reason she does is because I say we can't leave until it's brushed. I've googled, but apparently the mainstream way of dealing with this issue is to put tons of product in, and I'm not up for that. She's 4 years old, for heaven's sake!
So, is there a solution? I mean, I think she looks awesome with frizzy hair too, so it's not the end of the world if I stick with our current routine. But I do get the feeling that if I wasn't so ignorant about curly hair I'd be doing something different.

Thanks all. I think we'll try it, though I'm totally terrified about it.
