Hi, Mamas... i was wondering if any of you have read any helpful books that discussing helping your children deal with divorce?

I ordered the Sandcastles method, but it hasn't arrived yet and I was wondering if there are any other good ones?

Thanks, ladies!

I'm reading Mom's House, Dad's House right now, and am finding it really helpful. They have a version for kids, too, if yours are older.

I've heard Dinosaur's Divorce is good, too, but again, my DS is too young for that right now.

How old are your kids? If they are old enough "Moms house dads house for kids" is excellent.

They're still very little... my DD just turned 4 in July and my son isn't even 2 yet (will be in Sept.). I just ordered the adult version of the book, though, so we'll see!

Yes, "Moms House Dads House" and the Sandcastles one are definitely good ones for you to read. As far as ones to read with your kids I have not seen anything I thought was terrific. My kids were just 5 and just 8 when we divorced. I thought "Dinosaurs Divorce" was pretty good expect for the stuff at the end about step families which totally freaked my kids out at that point as they had not considered that might be part of the deal.
