Factor V Leiden

Who has Factor V Leiden and what are you doing about it?
I am heterozygous. I had been taking a lot of red grape juice for a while, but I stopped (I got lazy and broke), but I did increase the fish oil tablets which also thin blood. I would like to start with the grape juice again.
I believe I need to stop with these blood-thinning things at 36 weeks, to avoid problems during delivery.
What I am afraid of are (obviously) the complications like abruption or growth restriction. I have a couple of extra ultrasounds scheudled to check on these things, but they wanted to do four extra and I'm only doing two extra (one left for 36 weeks). I have never had a thrombophilic episode, but I know clots can appear at any time.
Let me know your experience with Factor V in this or previous pregnancies! I really want to manage it responsibly, since I think it is mainly a 3rd trimester concern.
Thanks!

Hi! I am bumping this because I'm just sure that somebody else out there has Factor V Leiden. Moderator, if you think this is in the wrong place please feel free to relocate it.
Thanks!

If you do a search you will see that there has been a few thread in various places as well as here in i'm pregnant. That reading those might get you a good starting point.

Hi,
Yes, I did look at those threads. maybe I will post this again in a few days with a different title, because I'm more interested in natural ways of managing the condition, and all the other posts have been (well, for the most part) about fairly intensive medications such as heparin and lovenox. My doctor did not offer these and I did not want them.
I will be more explicit in the future.
