The Fantastic April 2011 Roster!!!! - Page 6

post #101 of 260
* EDD: April 26
* Name: Blanca (not my real name, but I'm shy)
* Age: 32
* Location: the cradle of presidents
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 2 cycles, or 14 if you you count my molar pregnancy last year and the imposed wait time of 6 months.
* What number child is this for you: 1!
* Family: DH, 34
* Baby's gender: I'm gonna take a page from Karma's book and say maybe a girl given the early BFP at 9DPO?
* Names you like (& are willing to share): Nothing yet, really. DH has shot down pretty much all my ideas. For a girl, I want to use my grandmother's name, but it sounds weird with DH's last name, which the baby will likely end up with.
*Birth plans/preferences: Ideally, I'd go to a birth center but there are none in my area. I'm torn--I really like my OB. She supported me through my loss and seems pretty open minded. But she practices at a hospital and there is a great group of homebirth midwives in my area, so I don't know.
* Anything else you'd like to share: Really struggling with anxiety. This has always been an issue with me but because of the molar pregnancy I am approaching this pregnancy with a lot more fear of getting too attached. At the same time, I have felt good and positive about this cycle from the day after O--I had a feeling it would be our month and it was, so I'm trying to trust my instinct that says this one is going to be okay. Deep breaths.

post #104 of 260
* EDD: mid-April (17th by LMP, 20th by ovulation)

* Name: Rebecca M.
* Age: turning 26 in October
* Location: Southwest Michigan

* How long it took to you to get your BFP: We conceived the first month we tried (thanks to regular cycles & tracking CF).
* What number child is this for you: 2nd pregnancy, hopefully 2nd beautiful healthy baby!

* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Husband and 18 month old son, no pets (DH severely allergic)
* Baby's gender (hopes or guesses): Truly happy either way - would be nice to have a daughter but we already have all the stuff for a boy! (We found out with DS but won't be finding out this time.)
* Names you like (& are willing to share): Keeping private (but I did see that someone else in this group is considering the exact same girl name that we are!)
* Birth plans/preferences: Working on having a homebirth this time! Very excited

* Anything else you'd like to share: I wanted a homebirth with my son but my husband wouldn't even discuss it. We took Bradley classes and chose a CNM at a pretty progressive hospital. Unfortunately I had a very long, difficult labor (DS was persistent OP) and ended up with several interventions I didn't want. I regret not having a doula...so I became one! I am passionate about normal birth and breastfeeding. I'm currently breastfeeding while pregnant and might end up tandem nursing.

* EDD: April 9th
* Name:Morwenna
* Age: 39
* Location: Pacific NW (Portland area)
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: We were not exactly trying...
* What number child is this for you: 7
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies):
* Baby's gender (hopes or guesses): girl if I had to guess, I have no stong feeling yet
* Names you like (& are willing to share): haven't gotten to the point of thinking about this subject yet.
* Birth plans/preferences: My last 2 were with a midwife and I would love to have her again, however we are now 5 hours from her and although she may be willing to drive, my labors tend to be quite short and that worries me.
* Anything else you'd like to share: Too sick to be chatty!

* EDD: April 7
* Name: Kristin
* Age: 34
* Location: Seattle, WA
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: this baby was a surprise...I dug out an old pregnancy test from last time about 20 DPO - a very different experience from last time, which involved 18ish months of trying and fertility docs.
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH (34) and DD (15 mos)
* Baby's gender (hopes or guesses): no guesses; I'm kind of hoping for another girl (it would simplify things in our little two bedroom house), but will be thrilled either way.
* Names you like (& are willing to share): I have no idea yet.
* Birth plans/preferences: I'm hoping for another quick and beautiful home/water birth with the same midwife.

post #110 of 260
Hi everyone! My name is Jess. I just got my BFP yesterday, at 10dpo, and this was our first cycle trying. I'm due at the end of April, looks like the 26th will be my edd. I'm 27 and my dh is 28. This will be our 3rd child. We are thrilled!!!
I'm thinking that this baby is a boy, just a feeling (although I had the same feeling with dd2!). If I'm right we'll name him Riggs, which has a big family history and a lot of meaning for my family. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and share our experiences during this special time.

Hi everybody!

* EDD: approx. 4/19/2011

* Name: Courtney

* Age: 33 - but less than a month from 34

* Location: NE Ohio

* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 3 months

* What number child is this for you: #1 !

* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH and one sweet dog

* Baby's gender (hopes or guesses): I'd be beyond excited to have a girl,
but will be happy either way

* Names you like (& are willing to share): don't know yet

* Birth plans/preferences: I really really want a homebirth with a midwife. Right now I'm a little worried about how that will work with the disability coverage I could get while I'm off work for 12 weeks. It sounds like they will only take a note from a doctor. If I didn't have that, I couldn't get part of my pay which will help us a lot. Is it too early to worry about this? I really don't want to go to an ob that will want to do all kinds of tests and such.

* Anything else you'd like to share:

Only DH and I know so far, so it's great to be able to share the news here (:

* EDD: April 21st
* Name: Stephanie
* Age: 25
* Location: MO
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: 8.5 months!
* What number child is this for you: 2nd
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Partner, an 18 month old little boy and two goldfish
* Baby's gender (hopes or guesses): We are only having two, so this is my last chance to ever have a daughter, but I also like the idea of DS growing up with a little brother. I'll be thrilled either way.
* Names you like (& are willing to share): Jude, Oscar, Ewan, or Sebastian OR Martha, Elsa, Ramona, Scarlett, or Luella
* Birth plans/preferences: homebirth! DS was born in a hospital, and I won't make that mistake again (unless there's a very good medical reason to go to a hospital). It was the wrong choice for our family.
* Anything else you'd like to share: We are SO happy!

Hello everyone!

EDD~ 15 April (at least it would be a reason to celebrate that day!)

Name~ Amanda

Age~ 41. Implantation on my birthday, so it was the best present ever!

Location~ Ooooooooooooklahoma (where the wind actually does come sweepin' down the plains)

How long it took us~ It was the sixth IUI over 14 months~ our last vial finally worked!

This would be baby number one!!! Added to DP and me, three cats and a dog.

No gender preference really, though if I could guarantee a boy would be a little drag queen I'd want that for sure.

Names, not sure. I like Hazel for a girl and Oscar for a boy, so we'll just have to wait and see!

Birth plans~ I'd like a home birth, but DP's too nervous, so we'll have a midwife in a hospital and hope all goes well.

* EDD: 04/20/2011
* Name: Amanda
* Age: 34
* Location: DFW, TX
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: We had a couple of months where we tried half-heartedly, but we got our BFP on the first month we made a sincere effort, had good timing, etc. BFP was 17dpo.
* What number child is this for you: Hopefully #4 on Earth (#9 in all)
* Family: DH, DS (9), DD (8), DD (1), 5 angel babies, 2 cats
* Baby's gender: DH is hoping for a boy, but I think this baby is a girl
* Names you like: No names yet. I have loads of challenging rules re: baby names.
* Birth plans/preferences: No birth plans. Because of a history of recurrent losses and complicated high-risk pregnancies, I'll be monitored super closely. Because of a transabdominal cerclage, I'll have a scheduled c-section around 38 weeks.
* Anything else you'd like to share: Because of our history, I'll wait as long as possible to share this pregnancy with IRL friends and family. I'm excited to have this DDC!
