Kelly, wow you were super productive!!! That's some serious nesting going on.
I've been toying with the idea of getting a twin for ds too, but something tells me he's going to get clingier when the little one comes, so it won't work so well. Let me know how it goes though--maybe in a few months ds will be ready and I'll have *some* of the bed back.

I know it wasn't meant in a mean way but it hurt my feelings and now I'm feeling down.
Maeryn, I am so with you about planning walks after the SPD wears off! There are a lot of shops in this area that I moved to in April that I just can't walk to due to the pain. Can't wait to wear the baby and take ds on a stroller for some good ole walking. Oh, how I miss walking.
Sign me up for planning the post-partum weight loss. I am even thinking of just starting back eating primally like I did before getting knocked up. Well, a big reason is the ease of eating that way, the other is that it's pretty much similar to an elimination diet. took me 4 mos to figure out ds was sensitive to corn. 4 mos of pure colic hell. Each time I trialed it, including now, the same colic symptoms are back.
If I can avoid that, I will!
Although I'm a bit scared. The two times I've gone on diets, I get to lose like 8 lbs then BAM preggo.

However, it turns out that dh will be gone at a school (95% arranged) shortly after the baby is born. FOR TWO MONTHS. So, I'm still married to a Marine. Yep. That's right. I'm working myself through the mental gyrations of a newborn and a puppy, AND 3 other children (5 and under), AND the managing of an entire household. One that does not include trash service. Humph.
Wow. I bow before you. I am dropping out of my Anatomy class this fall (the only class I'm taking) because the 10 hrs of class each week (not counting commute time) is just way too much for me to handle with a newborn being born within the first month and everything.
Bri, I am so sorry about your poor dd's hair. Ds has beautiful curls too and I've forbidden dh from cutting it. Ds has brought a scissor close to them once and I nearly had a panic attack.
So I got all my test result back. No clotting issue (woot!), protein levels in the 24hr test are normal (woot woot!), the 3hr glucose test only had one high number, so not diabetic (woot woot woot!).
But I am officially considered hypertensive. My bp is around 130/70s. Not horrible, but not great either. So going in for an NST on Monday, and a Growth scan the week after next, since the OB is worried that the hypertension might effect baby's size (ds was tiny--4lbs 13oz at 37 weeks). I'm also going to have my nurse sister take my bp a couple times a day to watch it too.
She did take the few high readings I had at the L&D in stride though, especially when I told her they were drawing blood a couple times and then had to cath me.
She said she wants me to follow the GD diet though, since my one high number on the GTT is a 'risk' factor. Told her I'm not worried about it, to which she countered that she is. Whatever. I am NOT having a preemie sized baby this time, k. I've gained half as much with this little one as I did with ds. Ideally, I'd like a 7lber. I think I need to remind her that my family history, plus half of dh's the babies are in the 6lb range normally. Even my youngest sister at 41 weeks, was 6.5lbs and my mom had gestational diabetes too!
And she won't let me go past 40 weeks due to the bp. So I am going hardcore RRL and EPO starting at 36weeks. Next time I talk to her, I'll ask about stripping membranes at 39 weeks, to get things moving. Since I'm VBACing, I'm trying to do everything I can. Anyone have any other tips?
Yesterday was super cleaning and organizing day. Almost done with this darn house! Today was the major once a month grocery stock up, plus dropping off a huge load of books at the bookstore. Made $30! And cooked dinner. I am pooped though. I still need to sort through all the baby clothes (ds wore different sizes in tops/bottoms, so it's a big sort thru), do the laundry, oh, and prep for ds' 3rd bday party this Saturday. Sniff sniff...my baby is getting so big.
Ooooh, before I forget, cute toddler story:
Yesterday, before bed I was lying in bed and dh showed ds my c/s scar and told him that the doctors had taken him out of mommy's belly through there when he was a 'little baby'. Ds, with a serious look, grabbed my belly, leaned in close and yelled "little baby, come out, come out now!!!"
