Does anyone else write for Demand Studios?

I saw a Suite101 thread, so it got me wondering if there were any other DS mamas on MDC. I've been writing for Demand for about a year and a half. I mostly write on Parenting and Education topics. So, anyone else??

I've done a bunch of writing! I always do a bunch, forget about it, and am surprised when I have a payment in my PayPal

I actually enjoying writing for Demand because it's easy and the topics are interesting even if the pay is low

Absolutely! Sometimes I find that it's hard to find a good story, but I always have enough to write. I have a goal of two stories per day. One usually takes me anywhere from 20-45 minutes per story, depending on how much I know about the topic. At that rate, I think the pay per hour averages pretty high.

I love that I can do it from home and stay with my boys.

Same!
I actually hired a mothers helper for a few hours each week so I could have total writing time, and it's been so wonderful because I feel like I found a balance. My DD and DS are getting to play and have a blast while I'm right in the next room writing which is my love.

That's so nice that you were able to hire a mother's helper!! I go to the YMCA every morning with my two boys. They have childcare for up to two hours per day and free wireless. I work out for an hour, and then I write for an hour. During naptime, I finish up the writing. If I have any more--which I usually don't--I write after they go to bed at night.

The Y has been such a perfect situation for me. I don't know what I would w/o the membership!

Oh that's awesome! What a good plan

DD dropped naps and she goes and goes and goes all day. At night I'm the worst at writing, because I'm pooped! I can't even think straight! So I guess without help I'd die, but I found someone so awesome. She's working more now because we have a newborn and I am trying to find two kid balance, but she does a few hours normally which is perfect.

I wish DD napped!

DS1 just dropped his nap, so I'm in that boat, too. It's not very fun, but thankfully DS1 agrees to taking an hour of alone time while DS2 sleeps. He plays in his room independently, but takes a lot of bribing. LOL!
