Help explaining salivary test results/updates

My mom just got a salivary food intolerance panel done through Diagnos-Techs. She has to repeat the panel b/c they didn't have enough of a sample to do all four tests. So we're still waiting on gliadin (which was the primary reason for testing) and eggs.

Her test shows she is positive for
Milk (Casein) Ab. SIgA (Saliva) and
Soy (Protein) Ab. SIgA (Saliva)

So...what does this mean? I know it means she is 'intolerant' to milk and soy but there aren't any lab values. How can I explain this to her - what are dairy and soy doing to her body? Does this test mean absolutely that she is intolerant or is it like food allergy testing which can have false positives?

As for her history, she doesn't have significant soy intake - soy isn't a huge component of her diet. She eats a LOT of processed food. Dairy intake is high - she drinks like 3 glasses of milk a day. She has a history of IBS and severe bowel problems which are pretty much constant. I have been nagging her on diet changes for years, her health is terrible, and finally she saw the changes I had when I cut out gluten and she was persuaded to at least get some testing done.

-----------
Her second test just came back and she is

Milk (Casein) Ab. SIgA (Saliva) Positive

Soy (Protein) Ab. SIgA (Saliva) Positive

Egg (Albumin) Ab. SIgA (Saliva) Positive

Gliadin Ab, SIgA (Saliva) 15 Borderline (13-15 is borderline and >15 is positive)

I'm interested in comments on this as I just sent off the exact same saliva test for my 3 year old daughter.

I think the answer depends on how willing your mom would be to take soy, eggs, dairy, and gluten out of her diet. Most of these tests have a pretty sizeable false positive and false negative rate, so they're guidance, not answers. If I were her, I'd eliminate those four for a month, and see how she feels. Then she could challenge each one, one at a time, and see if she reacts to each.

If she needs further evidence before she would be willing to make dietary changes, perhaps do an IgG test - US Biotek has one that does 96 foods - if she's reacting to the 4 you tested, there may be more foods as well.

One other comment - you say she doesn't eat much soy, but if she eats a lot of processed food, she gets plenty of soy - it's used a ton in processed food (ingredients like texturized vegetable protein).
