Why do vaccines "wreck havoc" on newborns/infants immune systyems?

In your own words, please explain to me why vaccines "wreck havoc" on an immature immune system. thanks.

Okay, I'll start. Vaccines challenge the immune system to mount a response to them, which is the mechanism by which the body retains immunity to the disease the vaccination is for (for most vaccines). Especially when you give several vaccines or vaccines with several strains of disease contained within them, the body has to work very hard to deal with all of these "foreign invaders" at once, a situation a body would never normally have to deal with. The body also must deal with and "clear" the adjuvents and other ingredients in the vaccine, which an immature organ system is not necessarily well-equipped to do. I'm sure others will add more, but that's all I've got for now.

Do you only want opinions as to why they do? Because in my opinion, they very much do not.

One thing they do is skew the immune system toward much stronger Th2 response, as opposed to Th1 response, thus increasing the risk of autoimmune disease.

And that's a big deal, since allergies, asthma and eczema are so common in children these days.

What I'm trying to do....

.....is learn how to articulate my POV on vaccinations. Let me start with this: My kids are ages 12m, 3, 5, 8, 11, 14. Our oldest was vaxxed on schedule up until 18m, incl. hep B & Chicken Pox. Somewhere b/t the time he was 18m & 3 1/2 my dad (a doctor of internal medicine & a "family doctor") & his wife (an RN) learned about the "possible dangers" of vaxxing. They taught me not only about possible reactions, but also about the diseases we were getting vaxed for (treatment, prevention, ect.), & immunity. My oldest child had an ABSOLUTE ton of ear infections, resulting in tubes at about
18m. FWIW, he sadly was not EBF, THOUGH I STRUGGLED for 6m then finally gave up. Among 5 other kids, we've had only a few ear infections (seriously not that many), and they've been basically pretty healthy. Yes, all are/were EBF for 2-4 yrs ea. Anyway, i'm getting side-tracked here: I know in my heart & mind that our choice to not vax is the right one for us. Over the last few weeks I've become so passionate about really learning about it all, and knowing it like the back of my hand. I've never been "pressured" by docs, or family, or friends. I've never felt that I have to "defend" my POV, and I certainly would never attempt to sway someone to my POV. But if i ever "have" to, I want to know how to say what needs to be said. I have several MDC reprints, & other resources, too, so that helps....every so often I come up with a question. I really appreciate MDC & everyone here who are willing to answer my q's. Sometimes I feel like a fool, especially considering that we're 13 years into this....kwim? anyway, thanks...
thanks!
