developmental ?/is this odd..

we have some 'naturally gifted athletes' in the family, and let's just say that's... um... outside the realm of my experience.
dd's met milestones a little early so far, nothing crazy, but i cannot find out anywhere else and wonder if this is a bit advanced.
dd at just turning 9 months can roll and throw (like actually throw towards me or an object, at will and/or upon request, with accuracy) a felted wool ball i made for her. for which age is this typical? i'd like to encourage her skills, of course, but i'm wondering if this is a real anomaly (and in the back of my mind, i'm pretty surprised about it) or not. thanks!

We have been working on rolling a ball with DS who is nearly 8 1/2 months, and he does pretty well. He has thrown objects at us with pretty good accuracy, but not upon request. (most wouldn't ask an 8 month old to throw pineapple at their head, but DS did this, really well, and nearly hit my mother in the head! it was very funny!)

so, I don't think it is outside the realm of normal. FWIW, my family and DH's aren't very athletic. We bowl. I think that kind of counts.

Over hand throw is typical in 8-18 months and underhand is much later like 2 years or later....so I would say she is on the early side of typical

my dd1 could DRIBBLE a tiny little basket ball @ 12 mos. we knew she was gonna be a star then and she is going to university on a basketball scholarship! i'd say woohoo to your l.o. being so talented!
