"Pregnancy" weight gain?

Hiya! I'm trying to figure out how much I've gained so far. For reasons of weight gain when do you start counting?

Do you start at 0 weeks/LMP?
2 weeks/conception (since you weren't technically pregnant before then)?
4 weeks/BFP?

I weigh myself every morning after I use the toilet but before I eat or drink anything to try to get as accurate as possible a measurement. Using all those numbers I was between 122 and 125 with the lightest weight at ovulation. Of course if I go back a few weeks before my LMP I was as light as 118 but I've slid between 115 and 125 since I started high school.

I know a few pounds either way doesn't really matter but its just really odd.

go with whatever you want, most women go with what they were weighed at their first checkup.

Not that it really matters, not only does a few pounds not matter, a lot of pounds do not matter. What matters is how fast you are putting on/losing the weight.

I do not even step on a scale at the doctors office or at my midwifes house but rather watch my own weight at home. I am supposed to let them know if I gain or lose more than 5 lbs in one week.

I started at ovulation and only weigh myself once a week and yeah at home in the morning after bathroom and before food. Since I'm having twins I'm mostly making sure I do actually gain enough. I have certainly noticed i gain in waves and plateaus. When the doctors weigh me I have been eating have the day or whatever so I just completely engorge whatever their scale says.

I started at ovulation as well. My body kicks in the hormones right away so I gain a lot in the first couple of months.

With my first, I started with first weigh in at the doctors. By then I had gained 5 pounds from what I thought I was. I gained 12 pounds by 15 weeks. I gained 45 over the entire pregnancy.

This time I started probably the week I got BFP. I lost over 5 pounds quickly before going on medication for morning sickness, and am now 17 weeks and gained 1 pound pre-pregnancy weight and that was in the last week - I weigh myself at home to make sure I am not still losing. I was underweight to begin with. With my first pregnancy, I weighed about 10 pounds more than I did this time.

I go by first MW appointment. Her scale is different than mine...I don't really think I've thought much about it though.

My weight was all over the place in the couple of months before I got pregnant, due to miscarriage and subsequent hormonal chaos. I am counting from my "normal" weight, more or less the middle of my normal weight range.

If I were the OP, I would count from either 120 or 125, but really, it's not all that important. Stay active, eat well, drink plenty of fluids, and go with what your body seems to demand.

I generally use what I was before my BFP or at the time of my BFP. I usually weigh the same at 4 weeks than at 0 weeks.
This time, I got pregnant 4 months after a 12-13 week loss and during that pregnant I gained at least 10 pounds from being SO sick and nauseous and didn't lose any of it.
It's frustrating to start a pregnancy already up 10+ pounds...

Oh and for the record, I gained 60+ with each pregnancy (and lost 70 within a year of BFing).

That sort of happened to me with ds. I got pregnant with him the cycle after a m/c (well there was one "cycle" in between). And I had already gained a bunch for the 12 week pregnancy before. I was underweight when I got pregnant so it was a significant amount that i had already gained. In that pregnancy I ended up gaining lik e75 pounds. This time i think it will be less. I'm at 13 weeks now and i've only gained 2 pounds this time.
