Birthday for a 1 year old

My little Button is turning 1 in a few days, we had a big old party for family and friends last month for her and her cousin.

So her real birthday is going to be just for us... I'd love suggestions on your favorite birthday traditions and maybe your favorite Waldorf-y toy for a first birthday gift.

Happy Birthday!! I would suggest play silks for a great 1st bday gift! Or maybe a sweet handmade doll, some block crayons, natural building blocks...of if you are looking for something larger a wooden play kitchen is always nice!

My DS2 will be 1 next month. DS1 already has been gifted with so many things, that DS2 doesn't need much.

However, I will be dying a few silks for him, and DS1 wants to give little brothey this ball http://www.novanatural.com/toys/timeless/inflate-a-ball

Daddy and I will make him a cake and use a birthday ring for him.

We will also be planting his placenta under a fig tree... along side another fig tree to be planted for big brothey

We're trying to keep it simple, special and magical
