I also posted this in Special Needs.
My ds is almost 6. He will go in for an SPD eval next month. Some of his activity and attention look like ADHD right now, but I'm not convinced that that's what/all that is going on.
Yesterday, he said to me, "Mama, why does it feel like ants are crawling on you when you go to sleep?" I asked a little more, wondering if he meant when your foot falls asleep or something. No. He means when he is going to sleep, he feels that tingly feeling (described by him as "ants building a house," "flies landing on parts of his body all at once," or "white noise"). He says it's all over different parts of his body but that he feels it most on his back and abdomen.
Anyone heard of this? Could this be related to SPD or ADHD? Part of me wonders if that feeling is there more than just when he's trying to sleep/sleeping but he only registers it when his body is that still. Or am I over-reacting? TIA
