I have a cold and am feeling a little paranoid about pertussis because I have a 3 week old and 2 year old. Would it be ok for me to give some to my 3.5 week old SA as a preventative measure? I am not sure if I will be able to find SA in in town, is there a reason that she couldn't have regular vit. c?

When DS was exclusively nursing, I could take SA to bowel tolerance and it noticeably helped with his illness symptoms. We didn't have WC, but had several colds and I never had to pull out the suction bulb for his nose.
SA will be easier on your stomach to take to bowel tolerance, maybe easier on your nurseling as well. Plain ascorbic acid can really upset my stomach in large doses.
