Please help my hair!!

I haven't gone no poo yet, but I'm going to try this fall when no one cares what I look like.

In the meantime, I really need a good all natural, no chemical shampoo (we're going on vacation, and I need to be able to take it). The chemicals in shampoo/conditioner destroy my face, and I've finally gotten my face figured out and in the best shape its been in since I was a kid, and I really don't want to use anything in my hair that will mess it up!!

I've been using something with jojoba oil in it, but it just leaves my hair greasy looking and gross - something thats better for oily hair would be great!

fwiw, i definitely care what i look like. i use the "no poo" method, and my hair has never looked better just wanted to reassure you with that, so you don't think you have to wait until fall when no one cares what you look like

as for other options, you could buy a shampoo bar. that would be very easy, especially while traveling. for conditioner, you could use ACV rinse, or i personally love dr. bronner's citrus conditioner. hth.

I agree. I'll never understand the no-poo "adjustment period". I no-poo when it gets greasy, even just a little greasy. I believe it loosens the oil and runs it down the hair shaft leaving you with moisturized, shiny, healthy hair. I've gone back and forth (i love Dr. B's Lavender soap!), but my hair just looks and feels best when i no-poo with baking soda. I also use a shampoo bar when i travel--made by my friend, and i've found that you can rub any bar of soap on your head with similar results. So save your money and get a bar of natural soap. Good luck with the no-pooing! and pm me if you have questions.

I started the No poo method on thursday, and i have received non stop complements on what my hair looks like( mostly form people who do not know I have been no pooing) I have wavy/curly hair to my waist that is normally very easily tangled and it has been amazingly manageable and soft and shiny since the swich. Give no poo a try.
