Fun things to do with a nearly 3 year old

Hi Mamas and Papas,

Please share your suggestions for fun activities with a nearly 3 year old. I have a couple of weeks off so my daughter and I will have lots of quality time

We'll have lots of play time at the park, zoo and in the kiddie pool, but would love to hear your kids' favorite activities. We'll be in the city so we'll be using the subway/bus to get around (which is a boatload of fun in and of itself) and she tends to just want to run around at museums so I'll probably skip those.

We've found bowling to be quite an enjoyable activity.

No clue if you have access to one, but my DS had a blast at the touch tank at a Marine Science Center.

Other recent hits: Ferry boat ride, hiking, lakes, Children's museum, the library and the marina.
