Thanks to all for advice

A couple of weeks ago I posted about our 15 year old beagle, Indy, not doing well.

Today we had her put to sleep. It was tough, but yesterday she could not use her back legs for more than two or three steps. She also stopped eating.

DS is devastated, but even he saw that it would be cruel to let her go on. He and my DH were with her at the vet. DD chose not to go.

Thank you all who provided advice about this. It was truly invaluable.

I'm so sorry . My dog just died and it has been very difficult. We are going to have a hike in his honor at a place he loved and then kind of a memorial where we can talk about him. Maybe something like that would help your DS.
My 2 boys were also just devastated and we sat around him after he died and talked for a couple hours about him and everything we remembered brought up another story. Talk about him a lot, it really helped them and me.
