Colic Calm while EBF

I'm wondering if I should consider a product like Colic Calm while EBF. I have oversupply and after reading about this I think DD gets a little gassy. She sure cries more than I expected her to since we AP. Has anyone tried this product? Opinions? I kind of hate to introduce anything into a nb's (5 wks old) stomach other than breast milk.

I hadn't seen that kind of gripe water before, but they say it's homeopathic and so I definitely wouldn't worry. Homeopathic remedies are harmless even if you use the wrong one, and it's impossible to overdose as far as I know. Not at all the same as herbal remedies. I live in Germany, the birthplace of homeopathy, and it is used pretty much mainstream here. Our pediatrician is a homeopath and our DS, now 10 weeks, takes little homeopathic pills every week. He was / is also colicky, cried a LOT at first. We were also shocked to find ourselves with a fussy, screaming baby. It has nothing to do with you or how you parent. Some babies, around 20%, are screamers. "Colic" pretty much only means they cry a lot, for unknown reasons. People always say it must be gas or the immature digestive system, but IME this is only one small factor, and I believe gas is often the result, not the cause of crying.
Sorry this is so long-winded, but long story short our DS is finally outgrowing his colic, as most babies do by 3 months (his got gradually better from 8 weeks on). I didn't find out about gripe water until recently, a friend of mine swears by it said it helped soothe her colicky baby., but I wasn't able to find a good all-natural brand here. I'm having my parents bring me some when they visit next week, but like I said DS is nearly out of his colic phase, so I don;'t know if we'll even use it. Occasionally I feel he is having indigestion, and if so I'll use it. Honestly though I wish I'd discovered it sooner because those first few weeks were really awful with all his inconsolable crying, I would've tried almost anything. And I'm talking about the herbal kinds....homeopathic I would not even ask my doctor about I;d just do it, it can;t hurt. The herbal kind you might want to ask your pediatrician though.
Good luck with the colic, and it will pass, hang in there!!

Thank you so much for the reply. I don't know much about homeopathic remedies, but this product seemed great.
