~*~The BSL Graduate/Stalking Thread AUGUST!! ~*~ - Page 3

CBW - she is absolutely perfect! Love her! Can't wait to see more pics as you take them.

jessica - nice bump you've got going there, mama!

Mae - awww, hope she feels better (and fingersx there are NO ER trips in your immediate future!). P.S. That website is awesome.

finnegansmom - yay 2nd tri!!!! I hope you start feeling more confident soon, and get the hear the HB. We first heard around either 13 or 15 weeks, I think.

rcr - UGH re: the midwife not calling you back. Hopefully she just got tied up, and will. Be persistent!

AFM - First, let's just say it's good we don't have two Tauruses in the house. I'm all one household can handle. Lol.

I had my 32 week midwife appointment on Monday; heart rate in the 150s, my blood pressure was perfect, and I'm only up about 13 lbs (!!!). My uterus measured on the high end of the "acceptable" range. I'm 34 cm at 32 weeks (midwife said I should be between 30 and 34 cm). Still within range, though, so she's not concerned.

I can't believe that in 4 weeks I will have my first "check" to figure out what position the baby is in, and if I've started dilating at all. The logical part of me wants to have her withhold any info about dilation, effacement, and station - because I know none of it is really a reliable indicator of when the baby will come - but the type-A part of me will probably "need" to know that info.

Also, I definitely need all the time I can get to finish up some of these projects at work before my 3 month leave. Stay put, Cadence!

Too cute CBW! I especially love the pic of her laughing at mama- that was adorable!

We still haven't told anyone but I have an MW appt on thursday and IF we hear a HB on the doppler I'll start telling folks. I'm kind of on the huge side. It's getting embarrassing....Oh and I have my 298579257 yeast infection of this pregnant. I mean, really now...ugh
Congrats on hitting the second tri! And I'm with you on the yeast infections WTH??? I called and asked the nurse what I could do answer: nothing, try some external cream. Ugh. I didn't have this at all with DS. I can already tell this lo is going to be a trouble maker

Jessica Cuteness!

I'm officially nauseous!!!! I woke up this morning and dry heaved for like five minutes after stepping on a cricket bare footed (I step on crickets all the damn time since we live in the country, and that's NEVER happened) So finally feeling a little better about this pregnancy. I am now 5 weeks 5 days Oh, and wanted to ask if it was normal at this point to not be fitting into my regular pants anymore? I haven't been eating crazy, just a little more often, and now I can only wear elastic waist pants. It's kind of ridiculous actually.

Uh, congrats on being nauseous, I guess I am anxiously waiting to feel pregnant too. I am 5 weeks and 3 days. I hope I can join you in a few more days.

I feel my pants getting tighter too, but on the other hand, I have not been biking to work all summer (actually, I have not been at work because I have been taking care of my mom), so I think I have gained weight (non-baby weight). At lease I now have an excuse.

AFM - Called the midwife twice today (left one message), and have not heard back. What the heck! We are in a non-homebirth-friendly state, and she is the only one around. I wonder how much it costs to birth at the farm in Tennessee... Oh, and I ran the girl names that I love by Dh, who hates them... how in the world could he hate the names I love so much!

Finnegan - wow, already your second tri. That must feel good!

Baby belly at 35 weeks
Baby belly at 14 weeks

Same (non-maternity) shirt.

Ive been sort of down lately because I don't feel BIG like I was by this point with my other two.

This is with DS at about 34/35 weeks.

But then... I stepped on the scale. (which I have been avoiding all pregnancy at my midwifes request so I dont risk out of homebirth for being overweight)

Ive only put on 15 lbs since prepregnancy, 25lbs since my lowest weight. By that point with DS (and DD) I had already put on almost 50 lbs

Mae is growing just fine, so Im not worried at all about her. Im actually seeing it as a positive thing... just as DH and I had hoped, once we started to live together, I just sort of automatically become healthier. Less stress means less stress eating. Less sitting in front of the computer talking to him means less mindless eating. And having another adult to cook for gives me reason to make things other than kid-friendly foods (not that I fed my kids junk food but when I was the only adult I sort of felt outnumbered and like cooking super special meals would not be appreciated)

Plus a lot of exercise... in bed... *giggle*

Congrats on the heaving, I love the randomness of it (a cricket? ) I started the hair elastic in the buttonhole trick pretty early, elastic waists woulda been comfier!

Mae, I think you look great. And yay for healthier lifestyles! I've gained ~13lbs so far at 32 weeks, so I'm guessing we're in similar boats. Luckily my "cravings" have been for healthy things, and I've been in a very healthy mindset most of this pregnancy. A blessing, because I truly thought with my genetics and metabolism, pregnancy would turn me into a house.

A belly slide show of my growth thus far (since, you know, I don't have ANYTHING else to do! Lol. /sarcasm).

Well, it is about the same price and insurance does not cover it either way. We are in central Alabama, so it is about a 5 hour drive, so I would have to go there and stay the few weeks before the birth, but I read on their web site that they have cabins for that purpose. It would be cool.. because it is the farm... but really I would just rather stay home. There is only one midwife around, and a friend told me that a few years ago they were really cracking down on midwives after a baby died, so maybe she is more cautious now, although I think that she is still doing it (birthing with a certified midwife is illegal in Alabama, so the midwifes that are around are uncertified).

Mae and lyndzies, I think you both look great... totally normal baby bellies from what I can see.
RCR A birth at the Farm would be AWESOME!!

MAE and LYNDZIES Look at those cute baby bellies!! I think I'm going to have to start having DH take pics. Maybe I'll start at 8 weeks

Did I REALLY wish for morning sickness?? It has started in earnest, and is progressively getting worse, still no vomiting yet though. Thank God for small favors. Just dry heaving and cannot eat anything. But not complaining. As long as I have it I know that everything's going well in there My calendar is full next week though, and I'm praying I don't throw up on any of my clients!

ETA: Officially 6 weeks today!

Well not that the day... hehe

I am hoping to make it 3 more weeks.

BUT as for what I am feeling. I have started serious contractions around 9pm every night for about a week... hope in the tub and they taper off.

I am pretty convinced when I DO have her... its going to be an overnight thing!

Will be be there for Mae's arrival?

AFM- I finally found a midwife - across the state, but willing to travel, and with an apprentice who is only 45 minutes away. The Farm called me back today and I told them I found a midwife, and the woman knew her because she trained there. This is such a relief. I really want to have this baby at home.

Oh man lucky find!

I dont think my MW was ever on the farm (never asked...) but she totally could have been for how knowledgable yet super supportive and loving she is!

And... he better be here for Maes arrival lol... still hoping for Sept 4th, he has a 96 (4 days off) that weekend! (not that it matters, he gets 10 days off no matter when she is born... 9/8 would probably be better since he would only have a half day work between his 96 and his paternity leave!)

Woops! We hit the second page!

So... had some blood in my panties tonight but just a tiny bit. Not even a drop but more like my discharge is pink. Cant decide if its bloody show or my reacting to finally getting "exercise" again! LOL
