8 mo. old EBF baby and gas?

Hi! Hoping for some help. My 8 mo. old daughter has been extremely gassy the past couple weeks. It is really bothering her at night. the past few nights she has woken up every 2 hrs or so crying and when I pick her up she pushes her legs up and squirms. I have not been eating anything different that would all of a sudden cause her gas at this point. She has been EBF since birth. I should note that she was gassy when she was first born. Around 6 months old it sort of went away. I contributed her gas up until that point to overactive letdown since she always choked when on my breast b/c it came out fast. Now, this is not a factor. SHe also does not eat a lot of baby food. Some days none. Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks for reading!

You might consider starting a food journal to determine what you're eating that might contribute to the gas.
DS (7.5mo) had horrible foul smelling gas as well as some funky poo that we eventually determined was some food intolerances but without a food journal we wouldn't have been able to narrow anything down.
The same could be helpful in your situation even without food intolerances.
