11 mo old waking every hour, again, WHY???

Is there something I am missing around 11 mos, some developmental stage that he is going through that I missed in my readings?
DS has always been a crappy sleeper (even though we co-sleep), but the every hour thing is killer. He wakes and wants something to suck on (he dropped his paci at 6 mos and won't have anything to do with it anymore). It just always gets a little better (like he'll sleep 3 hours without waking for a few nights) then gets worse for a long period of time. I get up for work at 5AM, well, I should be getting up at 5. There has NEVER been any type of pattern or consistency with his sleep.
His teeth don't really seem to be bothering him anymore, his sep anxiety has gotten better, but he is walking now. Or, taking steps without us. He's just gaining the confidence he needs to let go of a hand
I plan on working on getting him back to sleep without nursing around the first of next year, when he's about 15 mos. I just wish there was something I could do now to get A LITTLE MORE sleep.
Any ideas would be wonderful...

Really, molars already? That is probably the only one I have not read, have to check it out if I can stay awake. Thanks!

How many teeth does he have? My DS had his molars before his first birthday, but he was an early teether. Then the canines started coming in shortly thereafter, and those were worse than the molars. My DS woke every hour for most of his first year, and gave us some 2 hour stretches from 12-18 months.. Once I got pregnant we started nightweaning around 19 months. He now wakes 1-2 times a night a few times a week, and STTN the other nights. it will get better soon!

He has 2 bottom all the way in, and 3 that are almost all they way in on top, plus another one we think about to break through. He started teething around 3 months but he didn't actually break any until around 7 I think it was. Teething was really bad for him but it seems to be better now, at least he doesn't complain, chew or drool as much.
I hope it does get better, I plan on gently nightweaning and trying to get him to sleep in his own room around 15 mos. I just can't do it right now too tired.

My 9 month old seems to be doing the same thing - every hour waking at night and she used to give me 3 hour stretches. For people who started nightweaning - what method/book did you find most helpful? We'd like to pregnant again around 15 months or so, and I thought nightweaning might help my period return...
As for more sleep now, I've moved to a separate bed with just my baby girl, and that way I have more room to move around and nurse and don't feel as confined or worried about waking Daddy. It helps me fall back to sleep more quickly and move the pillows around for support more easily so that I can just fall back to sleep nursing.

I'd look at diet too. My son woke every 45 or 90 min throughout the night until I pulled everything from both of our diets that was causing issues. Then he slept, 3hr stretches and then 4 and then.....we're down to up once a night. Start with eliminating dairy and gluten for both of you, see if you see a difference
