Loss of interest in solids while teething?

Anyone else notice this?

DS is 8.5 months. His first tooth popped through on the bottom this weekend, and it looks like the top two are on their way. He had been eating solids twice/day, but lately he has just turned into a major Grumpy Gus when we try to feed him. He does a little better self-feeding than when we try to give him something like yogurt with a spoon. He has also taken to batting our hands away if we try to feel/see his teeth, so maybe he sees the spoon in the same light? He still nurses so I'm sure he's getting enough, just wondering if teething caused a pause in solids for anyone else?

Yes, very normal. Mine were late teethers and didn't want anything but breastmilk till they were a year.
It's nutritionally complete and he's still very little. Poor grumpy guy.

mine is the same way. I think her gums are sore. And, all she wants to do is nurse, which I guess is soothing and feels good.
