Affordable, BPA free tupperware?

We use a lot of tupperware and despite being conscious of the BPA issue this item has somehow slipped my mind.

Does anyone know of BPA free, safe tupperware that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

We might try some glass containers but dh bikes to work and school and taking several glass containers in his bag isn't an option.

Thank you, both of you! I think we have a few ziploc ones. I have no idea what number plastic the others are. I'd like to find some sturdier ones in addition to the ziploc, since they don't last as long.

Have you tried making your own "ziplocs" out of oilcloth? I've seen these for sale, and have thought about making them. Something like this:

Rubbermaid makes some containers that are BPA-free: http://www.rubbermaid.com/Pages/LearnAboutBPA.aspx

Some stores (I'm in Canada, so Zellers and Canadian Tire mostly) have them on sale 2-for-1 semi-regularly.

We have a bunch of the Lock&Lock containers form Walmart and I love them, they are made from #5, seal great, and come in all sorts of sizes! They also have glass containers with plastic lids, but I haven't tried them yet!

mine look a bit different than these, I guess they've updated their style.
also check out the rest of that website http://www.reuseit.com (used to be reusablebags.com) for lots of nifty lunch bags and bento boxes that are bpa-free looks like they have stuff at many price points. lots of supercute stuff too!
now I'm wanting to go shopping
