What did you eat today?

Scattered throughout threads here are bits and pieces of what others ate, which I really love to read. As a relative newbie to TF, it gives me some great ideas. So what have you eaten today?

Breakfast- scrambled eggs (eggs from our own chickens, whisked with some whole milk [not raw, but non-homogenized and HTST pasteurized instead of ultra, also organic, 100% grassfed, and local ) fried in butter. Fried "better than bacon" from local pigs.

Lunch- salmon fillet sauteed in organic evoo with a little salt and pepper, then I wilted some kale in the leftover oil with some raw ACV and bacon grease.

Snack- anchovies in olive oil and salt on two light rye wasa crackers (haven't eaten anchovies in a long time, I forgot how darn salty they are, oh my!)

Dinner I think I'm going to make some meatballs from some locally made sausage (probably just mash in an egg and some parmesan and fry them in evoo) and serve with a little marinara sauce and finish off the kale I've got.

(feedback is appreciated )

I'm trying not to eat eggs or corn anymore because I think I'm having some allergy issues. Ugh. So I've been a BIT lenient on other stuff.....

B: bacon (local, forest fed, non nitrate), big local white peach, black tea
L: Half a Fuji Apple Chicken salad from work with no gorgonzola cheese, a few potato chips
S: Another big thing of tea, one gluten free shortbread cookie (Pamela's brand)
D: chicken thighs, corn-free BBQ sauce, probably some sort of veggie from our garden and maybe another peach.

I'm on the Scarsdale diet right now... so take it for what it's worth.

Breakfast: A bagel (technically cheating) and a banana
Lunch: Cottage cheese, 2 hard-boiled eggs and a sliced zucchini (that lunch tasted so much better a month ago)
Dinner: Roasted chicken leg quarters (skin-off), loads of veggies

Edited to add: Whoops sorry ladies! Saw this on the main page and didn't realize it was in the TF section.

Breakfast:

Half a cup of coffee with raw milk.
4 pieces of bacon.
* 6 Drop biscuits drizzled with raw honey

Snack:

Glass of raw milk

Lunch:

Big chunk of wild salmon with mayo.

Snack:

Roasted almonds.
Chocolate milkshake.

Dinner:

Beef roast.
Roasted onions, potatoes & carrots with tons of coconut oil, butter & salt.

Snack:

Raw milk kefir

*Drop biscuits:

12 eggs
3/4 cup of bacon grease (you could use lard of coconut oil)
1 tsp salt
1 cup sifted coconut flour (I use Wilderness Family Naturals)
3/4 tsp baking powder

Blend first two ingredients together. Whisk in remaining ingredients until there are no lumps. Drop by the spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. (I didn't grease & it was fine.) Bake at 400 F for 15 minutes. Makes about 24 biscuits.

I drizzled a little raw honey on top when I served them so the nutrients would remain intact.

I think they were a bit drier than they would have been if I'd mixed some honey into the batter. Next time I might add a little bit of coconut milk to the batter to see if it helps moisten them a bit. Nobody had any complaints and each of the kids has had at least six so far...

Today was not a good food day for me. I was most definitely NOT a TF foodie today. So I am not a good example, and newbies should just disregard because I'll be no help. AF is here and she's making me moody, and I ate to satisfy my cravings today. But I'm 'fessing up anyway, because owning up to my high-carb crap-food day is going to keep me honest tomorrow.

breakfast: hardboiled eggs, melon, and a piece of toast with my homemade raspberry jam (the toast from commercial whole wheat bread, and the jam while definitely low-sugar, still with sugar) I made the jam last night and it was calling my name.

snack: a peach and a handful of dark chocolate morsels

lunch:

dinner: a lovely Manhattan clam chowder with lots our home-grown and locally grown veggies in it, and then a blueberry buttermilk muffin (from soaked flour with no sugar-- I got my act together by the end of the day.)

PS I can't not say. For lunch, I had two giant bowls of chocolate pudding, made from the aforementioned chocolate morsels.

Oh, I was virtuous today:

breakfast: one hardboiled pastured (local) egg with local sea salt and organic pepper (dude, how anal am I???); cottage cheese with organic blueberries

snack: few slices of unpasteurized cheese & half a peach

lunch: scrumptious salad made with local greens, basil, goat cheese, cucumber, tomato & other half of the peach, homemade dressing with olive oil, local hand-made ACV, mustard & maple syrup; leftover meatloaf made with sauteed veg, grass-fed beef & grass-fed beef liver; glass of raw milk

snack: a wee bit of locally made bison sausage, one slice of cheese and some cucumber

dinner: local lamb chop, bbq'd with a marinade of mustard, herbs, olive oil & balsamic (OMG still drooling), fresh green beans, boiled & tossed with gobs of butter.

dessert: one apricot

I will be going for a workout as soon as DH gets home, after which I will have a protein shake made with raw milk and whey protein powder. (It's sweetened with stevia, does that get me points???)

Breakfast: Mango smoothie/lassi with mango puree, yoghurt, kefir and cream (thanks to whoever suggested putting kefir in smoothies!)

Lunch: Boiled eggs, hummus and carrot sticks

Dinner: Roast chicken and veggies wth gravy.

Also a caramel milkshake, blueberry muffin and some white chocolate, but we shall not speak of that.

It's okay, I'm not going to even mention what I had today

A mix of good and bad today. I've had some sugar sensitivity so I'm avoiding my usual carb-heavy meals, also an egg intolerance so I'm kinda having a hard time figuring out what to eat and that made today kinda weird...

Breakfast - couldn't resist a bite of ds's pastured egg omelet with crummy american cheese and ham, my breakfast was a square of cashew snack bar (coconut, cashews, coconut oil, & dates) and a cup of green tea

Lunch - crispy almonds with cheddar cheese, a glass of chocolate milk (raw though, lol) a few slices of an organic orange

Dinner - corn on the cob with pasture butter, pizza, I admit it we get take out pizza once or twice a month.

Snack - probably have more raw choc. milk if the kids don't claim it first.

Is this for anyone to join in? I feel like I was pretty good.

Breakfast- multi-grain English muffin with one egg, spinach, and neufchâtel cheese.

Lunch- chicken marinated in coconut milk and scallions with strawberry and pineapple salsa... Left over from dinner last night.

Dinner- barilla plus angel hair pasta with white clam sauce chopped clams and shrimp. Salad

Snacks- serving of live smart granollaey type cereal with regular organic milk.
No sulfur dried pineapples , raw sunflower seed meats, apple, simply lemonade

Think i remembered it all.

Well, if you insist... Yesterday all I ate was 6 breaded mozzarella sticks with marina sauce and a bunch of take out pizza! And two pops (but they were throwback, so at least they had actual sugar )

Today-

B- Scrambled eggs and "better than bacon" and a small bowl of local whole milk yogurt

L- anchovies on light rye crackers, some raw milk cheddar cheese, and an organic nectarine, half a bottle of bolthouse green goodness

Dinner, not sure, I think I'll make a frittata/crustless quiche, I have a ton of eggs I need to get through. Probably just eggs, milk, some fried BTB, maybe a little onion, and some shredded cheddar cheese. I'll probably just do some broccoli on the side, dd1 loves broccoli but she just likes it plain, she hates it when I put it in other stuff!

no women I know in real life eat like you gals do.... amazing

For breakfast: 1 scoop of garden of life super seed, 1 serving of body ecology super greens, and this organic dark chocolate raspberry stick (I figured with the fat from the chocolate and the fiber from super seed this is actually a low insulin meal)

For lunch: sprouted buckwheat that has been cooked with organic peas, olive oil.. and some lettuce

snack: organic green grapes

For dinner: 1 pound of wild alaskan sockeye salmon, a whole platter of peeled brussel sprouts (i discard the cores) sauted in coconut oil, Organic golden potatoes baked...... and some gelatin rich broth

approximate cost of this food + other supplements i take = over 30 $

Well dh and I went out for brunch where we shared a flat bread pizza for an appetizer ( I was starving because I didn't eat dinner last night due to a late lunch) and then I had a beef dip sandwich and wedge cut fries, and an unsweetened ice tea.

Dh is cooking wild caught king salmon tonight and I'm making a pot of grass fed home ground beef chili for the fridge.

Yesterday I made a cheese quesadilla with homemade quacamole for breakfast and had fried catfish for lunch.
