fleece liner question and wipes question

I would like to make my own - what kind of fleece should I buy from the fabric store?

What kind of fabric would you suggest for making cloth wipes?

And (really dumb question) - if you are doing prefolds and covers, does the fleece liner go on top of the prefold or between the prefold and cover?

microfleece or other thin fleece - just cut to the size you want, no need to sew

our wipes are two layers of flannel

liner goes b/w diaper and baby's skin
