It never hurts to ask - I'd start with your department secretary. I gotta say, those of us in support positions often know who/how to take care of things.

I work on a college campus and didn't have a response the first time a student asked me about pumping, but I talked to my boss and we came up with an empty office that she will have reserved when she wants it. I also offered up my own mini-fridge for storage so she doesn't have to drag the milk with her all day. More than she requested, but it took a little time to find an available location in the same building with all her classes. I hope that means easier pumping = continuing to breastfeed for as long as she/baby want.
