Hi there, chart experts!
I'm wondering what people think about my ovulation date. Here is my chart
I am usually pretty certain about ovulation, but this month was a bit tricky. My CM was harder to interpret than usual. I tried to check my cervix, but that too was tricky... it kept shifting and fluctuating. I'd love to hear other people's opinions (especially those of you scoring 100% on FertilityFriend's little contest!) Do you think it was day 12 or day 14?

I'm a long-time fertility awareness method user, so I assumed CD 14. Fertility Friend (using both research and advanced methods) thinks it was CD 12.

Also, I am a very good temper, as far as accuracy. Exactly 6:00am every morning, same spot under the tongue and I never move an inch except to put the thermometer in, so I definitely trust the temps.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

so when on FAM it give you cd14 though? It looks like 14 to me. But it could also be a fallback rise? I guess I just wouldn't be discouraged if you test and get a negative because you have 2 days of leeway to play with? Good Luck!

First of all, I just saw your siggy... I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter.

Your chart...at first glance, just by looking at the temps alone, I thought CD14 too. Then I saw, according to you chart, your EWCM was gone by CD14? Is that what you meant by it being hard to figure out your CM this month? Are you sure there was no EWCM? Do you check CM from the outside of the vagina, or do you collect it from the cervix? Do you remember your cervix being open at all on CD14? I would assume that if you did indeed ovulate on CD12, that your cervix would be closed but the time CD14 came around.

If I were to go with your chart just by the way it looks now, I would be leaning more towards O on CD12... but that's only due to what the CM is telling me. You're right -- it is a little confusing!

I hope you get your BFP soon!

I think CD12 with a fallback thermal shift. I got that sometimes when I was temping. EWCM and OPKs line up more with CD12.

thanks so much for your help, ladies.
And thank you for your nice words, shellsncheese.

As for my cervix, I can never tell the open/closed aspect. It always feels a little open to me, but i'm 6 months post partum. could that matter?

And on the CM, yes, I obsessively check it and if i'm unsure, i check internally, right up at the cervix. On day 14, there was a little bit of stretchy CM, but it was cloudy, and my EW is usually clear. We had had sex that morning, so I wasn't sure if it was semen or EW. Also, to add more non-clarity, I seem to have a yeast infection that started to worsen around day 12. The CM seemed more lotiony/sticky on days 12, 13 and 14, but I wasn't sure if it was post-ovulation sticky/creamy, or the yeast affecting the CM.

I wouldn't normally obsess over 2 days (wait, who am i kidding, of course i would!) except that i'm leaving for a family vacation and would kind of like to know when to expect my period. For my husband and me, there is so much emotion around not getting pregnant each month, and there would also be a lot of emotion around getting pregnant. I'd just like to kind of know if that is going to happen right in the middle of this vacation. oh well. the mysterious human body is oh so humbling....

thanks again!
