Avoid nettles and alfalfa?

I saw on the Dr. Brewer's site that it says to avoid alfalfa and nettle tea during pregnancy because it's a diuretic. I like both of these and had them with RRL during my last pregnancy and have always seen them recommended. Why would this be cautioned against?

Because Dr. Brewer is classifying them like pharmaceutical diuretics which would be a big no in pregnancy... nettles and alfalfa and dandelion root are all very gentle and don't have the harsh side effects that pharmaceutical diuretics have. Hope that helped and made sense.

Oh.. came back to add, I found that if I drink too much pregnancy tea that I have some swelling.. it all goes back to the balance thing, lots of water in addition to the tea.

all the herbalists I know and read- recommend them because of all the micro- minerals... I love them personally...

My birth center sells a mix that includes them and highly recommends them.
