ok well, a bit of my sad background: in the past few years, i pretty much let myself go... for various reasons. i think without realizing it i was depressed, if that at all possible... it translated into for the most part sedantary lifestyle, and a lot of overeating. ive gained an insane amount of weight (throw in a pregnancy)... i know it has been very bad.
i am changing my evil ways now. i am eating very healthy and starting to work out and just take a better care of myself. and right around the time ive made significant changes i went for a physical and of course results were pretty bad... it took a few weeks before i actually got to talk to someone in my dr's office about it. first the results took a while, then they were trying to make me make an appointment which i can't do because our insurance ran out and the new one doesnt kick in till sept.
finally, a nurse talked to me a few days ago. she said that i basically was diabetic. while a normal person's levels would be around 4, mine are around 11. she said she understands my situation with the insurance and yet urges me to make a dr's appointment.
so i told her about all the changes ive made, and she said that i would most likely be able to reverse these bad numbers and be healthy again, but still said i should make an appointment... but i dont understand why. should i? i feel fine, and of course have more energy now that im taking care of myself and dont see why it cant wait till sept. but im still a little doubtful just because of how she insisted ... would you make an appointment (and pay close to 100.00 with no insurance) or would you wait? opinions are very appreciated
