At what point does a strike become weaning?

Hi Mamas, my 20mo old DS hasn't nursed in 2 weeks now When I offer he gets mad and arches his back, etc. Then the last few days he has come to me and signed "milk" and then when I reach for him he laughs hysterically and runs away

So I'm wondering...what would you do? Keep offering? Give up? Thanks for your help

I guess I would keep offering? Not really sure, two weeks is quite a long time to not nurse. Does he go to sleep easily without nursing? Maybe try offering when he's tired?

My DS self-weaned at 22m. He was pretty clear about it. He dropped a nursing session every few days and then at night time one night he said No, P (pacifier), and then went to sleep in my arms. I was so shocked. I offerred for three weeks and then stopped and we were done. He never tried to again and never tried to when the baby was born.

I was 20w pregnant at the time and I think, in retrospect, my milk supply tanked in that last month do to stopping pumping at work (I did until 18m), running out frozen milk, SSTN with help from DH, etc.

He was just done.
