Do you speak any German? this website allows you to search for midwives that are English-speaking and you can filter for what you need (care before birth, during birth...) I'd be happy to translate it for you if you're not fluent in German.

the geburtshausteam in hamburg is awesome!

i was there for a midwifery class in november and it seems like the hamburg and surrounding area natural birth scene is VERY active. so finding a good match for you really shouldn't be too difficult. just make sure to set up your care early. the popular midwifes are often booked solid very quickly.

Thanks for the tip! I went to the Geburtshaus in Hamburg today. They are really nice. If I can't find anyone closer, I will go there.

I just wanted to put in a tip for anyone else in HH looking for a midwife.  Claudia Fuckner (or really anyone at the Praxisklinik Winterhude) is fantastic for German speakers.  Loved having her as my midwife!
