Getting destin(??) out of dipes & liners

I loaned my stash to a new momma who was overwhelmed with the choices for diapering, just to give her chance to use different ones to see what she liked. I got them back and we moved and I am back to using them myself. When I pulled them out and was sorting them I notice some diaper cream on a few of my ME liners and a couple of the others. HOW, oh, HOW do I get it out? or am I just out of luck?

Have you tried hot water and Dawn (or some other liquid dish soap)? Dish soaps are made to deal with grease...maybe a good soak will help.

I'd second AFW's recommendation for Dawn. When my well-meaning neighbors threw my diapers in the drier with a stack of dryer sheets (shared laundry in our triplex), I thought nothing would help! But stripping with Dawn did the trick.

I washed them in very hot water, with a squirt of Original Formula blue Dawn. No other laundry soap, no vinegar/bleach/etc. Then I did about a million rinses (warm or cold, i don't remember and don't think it matters) until no suds appeared anymore. The Dawn is great for getting off all types of build-up and gunk.
