Head circumference ?

Thread Starter
Just wondering if any of you have experienced this with your LO.

DD was born with a head around 20th or 25th percentile. Now at almost 12 months her head is at the 40th.

Should I be alarmed about the increase? Has anyone else experienced this?

TIA

My daughter went from 25th percentile (height and weight 5th) at 2 weeks to 50th percentile (height and weight 15th) at her two month. My doctor wasn't concerned at all, just joked that I had a smart one!

my lo just measured on the 25th percentile at his first visit. Dr. said head gets squeezed via vaginal birth.

That growth is normal. My DS went from 25th to the 47th, and my doctor said that type of change is normal. He's been in the 45-50th percentile ever since.

Our son use to be 50th percentile in the earlier days, but since ~4months has been ~33rd percentile. He looks normal to us and he's developing normally. Our MD said that there's a relatively big variation when it comes to head circumference as compared to the length and weight measurements, so not to worry.
