Planning homebirth set up

Thread Starter
So on a two story very open concept home where the (small) bedrooms are upstairs (2) with one bathroom and the downstairs is entirely open (living room, dining room, kitchen, foyer) with one small room and a bathroom/laundry room); where does one plan to birth? Do you put everything on the main floor (birth tub, airbed) or try to navigate having it all upstairs in our tiny bedroom by moving the bed out of the way? And s/o from another thread, can a birthtub even be upstairs (still reading opinions on that front)?

How do the fellow small home homebirthers do it?
TIA!

We have a smallish home too. I would have loved to do it all up in my bedroom, but I don't want to take the chance that the floor won't hold the pool!
So we will be doing it downstairs.

We do have a room at the back of our house that is just kind of an extra room that has some exercise equipment and DS's toy pile and stuff so I just made room in there for the tub, and since we already had a futon in there I will just pull that out to use if I don't want to be in the tub.

I'd suggest that if you have a space downstairs that you can feel comfortable in, just set things up there. I will be having sheets up over the door way so that it's more private for me. Could you do something like that downstairs? Then you wouldn't need to worry about if the 2nd floor can hold the pool or not.

Looks like like the same space and distribution of when I give birth two years ago.
I had all the set a my bedroom in the second floor. We set the bed and the pool side by side. I was almost laboring at the birthpool and walking to the bathroom.
We empty our bedroom from other furniture other than the bed. After birth my DH and MIL empty the pool, took it outside to cleaned and folding. They fold also right away the painter tarps we use to cover the brand new floor, made the bed when I went to take a short shower. My MIL set the laundry with all the clean and all the rest was out of the garbage bag inmediatly. 45 mins later my house looks clean and declutter.
