Birthday Ring or Holiday Spiral

Thread Starter
I have some birthday money to spend (yeah sister!) and have been looking at the wooden birthday rings sold by Nova Naturals and others for awhile. I think it would be a nice ritual piece for birthdays and holidays, etc. We aren't Woldorf in theory but I value a lot of Waldorf play theory/toys.

But...I recently saw that there was a spiral as well. Any thoughts on which is most pretty / fun / enduring?

Not to make your choice more difficult -- but have you checked out the selection at The Wooden Wagon?

We have a spiral that we use for all occasions. It's a hand made one from etsy, very rough around the edges compared to the ones from Germany but I love it. Have fun picking one out!

I have never taken the step to purchase a birthday ring, but I just love them. The Wooden Wagon's selection is great. It's the only place I've seen the calendar one.

I also like the celebration sets they offer at Nova Natural as starters. You can create your own as well.

We have birthday ring...which I love! And a 12 hole spiral by this etsy shop.

However, I just ordered a 24 hole spiral. I really wanted one for counting down to Christmas and the like. So I see many purposes. I guess it just depends on what you want to use it for and what will fit your family.

We have the same spiral from the same shop, only ours is really beat up now. I need to sand it and give it some lovin'... but it's a fabulous spiral that we use for all celebrations.

Yes ours is beat up too. That picture was pre burning a few candles too low. Woops. So there are a few of the circles that are singed. Just adds some character to it.
