On the Night You Were Born makes me tear up every time! Sniff .

"And the night wind whispered "Life will never be the same...".

Ahhhh....I love my kid soooo much.

Anyone else have something like this or am I just a giant creampuff?

I don't know the book you mention, but The Lorax always did it for me. "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." That line always made me sniffle and gulp back a sob.

I know for some people it's Robert Munsch's I Love You Forever.

Yeah, "Love You Forever" makes me cry Every. Single. Time. And I made up a tune to go with the song. :

I am such a PANSY. We have a huuuuuge library of baby and kid books, and there are but a handful I can get through without choking up. Then again, I've been known to lose it during fabric softener commercials...

I have that same book!
EVERY. TIME. I. CRY.
everytime.

No. It will always make you cry. "Owl Moon" makes me cry (along with 50 other books)

the first time it made me cry, i thought it was because i had crazy pregnant lady hormones - but no, it's somehow designed to turn the faucet on every time i read it

ack, crying a little right now just thinking about it!

The Lorax still makes me cry, too.

I have a book called Someday that makes me tear up just thinking about it. I don't think it will ever stop. I don't think I will actually be able to read the book aloud to my children, the will think me crazy for crying.

The book "Mama's Right Here" does it to me.... "Mama's right here and she always will be, my love is wherever you are."

Don't know that book but it sounds beautiful, I'll have to check it out.
For me it's The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein *sniff sniff*

A lot of childrens books make me cry in all honesty. I am a super softie! When I was pregnant with DS2 - reading all those books about pregancy and childbirth always made me well up whilst trying to read them to him! lol... My trick is to read them loads by myself - get it all out of my system and then work on reading them aloud to my boys whilst actively thinking about something else just so I can get through the books! lol

I can't make it through the velvetine rabbit at all!

First time I read it to dd I SOBBED and dh came running into the room to see what was wrong!

After the crazy crying hormones left my system (thank God, like that's really what new moms need!?!), I still get choked up reading it!

I tear up reading On the Night You Were Born (oddly, despite not being religious, when I read the bible passage at the end. Anyway, though, I SOB when I read this book. Seriously very tough to get through.

We have a book called "I Loved You Before You Were Born" that I've never, ever even been able to start reading to DD because I cry on the first page. My parents gave it to her before she was born.

And I can never get through "Mama Always Comes Home", which is about mama going to work but always coming back at the end of the day. I don't even work out of the house anymore and I still can't do it.
